when i saw this young boy play the drums i was really impressed by his talent and the joy that he has.
for some strange reason, i thought of how his life would change if his parents studied with the jdubs and became witnesses.
i could see how the boy's life would change.
Oh yes... forgot to say, my nephew plays the guitar, but as he is a young baptised 22 year old he plays strictly healthy songs.
He’s free to play as long he plays these type of songs, it seems to be something he loves as he takes his guitar everywhere playing at gatherings as well as social circles.... JWs off course.
His family enjoys it as well as his friends. He’s really great at it but would never follow that as a career.
i understand fathers day is celebrated on various dates around the world but here is oz its today so to all the dads where ever you are,.

SG I agree with you, I also hated to have to go meetings and door to door and be singled out in school. It really sucked.

i saw my mother today for the first time in three years..
she was on one of the witnessing carts in town at a station i don’t usually get off at.

My mom had many faults but was still mine. She’s died a long time ago and I miss her every day. Thing goodness she was not a Jw.
My children don’t have a nan anymore and some were born after she passed so never met her.
Having one around and not being able to reach her because of some silly 8 old man rules it’s just unbelievable stupid.

long time no see. The other day I went out with my sister. We met a jw man that knew her, my sister said this is my sister and niece, they are visiting us for a bit. The man said hello and turned to my sister and asked “are they witnesses too?”
I didn’t take notice but later I started thinking... that’s the first thing you ask? Really really??!??!??
Not... how are you? You enjoying your time? Nice to meet you... I’m ... blah blah?
Do I have to be branded a witness so you can see if you are on home turf?
I took offence.. a little... but I want to know if this is something that is normal to happens or if I’m being a natural moaner.

I’ve seen a documentary that said that the older generation are getting these things set up to combat loneliness. So sad. But I presume that works like a friend if you’re stuck at home and can’t go anywhere for a bit.

Society is made of many layers, like an infinite onion.
We need the genius to contribute their ideas and lightbulb moments.... others to constantly put their idea in motion so the genius can be.... the genius.
Some people come from nothing but that’s not their story....if they stumble on an simplistic idea that might elevate them into a better life that will probably help to make another or so generations of the wealthiest. We all can do this in the right moment, at the right time and with the right people.
Does it really matter? The rich are nothing without an army of minions of production to put their plans into action. Without this there’s no wealth.
Then they go and pay taxes to help run the country etc. (Not only them but us too). Every little bit helps.
So in conclusion and in the reality of things we all need everyone and everyone needs us.
