  Prayers that God answers. Any examples?

  when i believed in god i tried not to pray for anything selfish.. after a while i began to think that a lot of things i was asking my imaginary friend in the sky for were selfish for some reason.. i do not ever remember a single thing i prayed for ever being answered.

  if there was the appearance of an answer it was because i did mental gymnastics to make it fit the delusion that god had actually answered me.

  there was never an obvious message/answer from god.

  I suffered with infertility. I prayed incessently for a child. We were turned down at the adoption agency due to our stand on the blood issue. We had a private adoption fall through. 12 years went by all the while i was praying my heart out and seeing a fertility specialist. Finally I decided to stop praying for a child and appreciate what I DID have and stop obsessing about what I couldn't. I stopped praying for a baby, got a job, took up several hobbies and slowed down my Jdub activity. In time, I was actually GLAD for my freedom and so was my husband. Well, guess what? Within a few months I was pregnant. My husband was mad about it. Isn't that ironic? Science has shown that being uptight often interfers with fertility. My prayers were answered. Or were they? Oh ,BTW, this most special awsome child died in his early 20's while awaiting babtism into the Borg.

  on wednesday the 10th, i went to bally's casino for tryouts/auditions for who wants to be a millionaire.

  i passed the written test!

  then i had to fill out a questionnaire in which i had to try to sound like an interesting person.

  Dropping itty bitty bits of Truth About The Truth to other Witnesses!

  this'll probably get me disfellowshipped eventually but it's been hella fun!.

  so lately every time an opportunity arrises while speaking to other jdubs at the meetings or assemblies or even just overhearing their conversations about new light or new publications, service, anything really i drop little things that pass unoticed by most but make some stop and think for a minute.. for example, after one sunday meeting, a brother came up to me with about 5 other jdubbies to poke fun at me saying, "i thought you said you never sat at the front?!

  ODIBF, WAY TO GO! You may be free soon if you piss off the wrong person but isn't it fun turning the tables ? Out of the clear blue sky my JW preachy MIL was saying how she didn't like Rutherford. That he had said "Women are just a hank of hair and a bag of bones" I agreed that he was awful in every way. She must have caught herself talking negitively and quickly added that he was used to TEST the witnesses. I said that sounds mean for Jehvah to test his people like that. She said "Oh no, I meant that Satan was testing. I said "So Satan appointed Rutherford to test Gods people? She was lost and changed the subject.

  Anyone busted on apostate site. JCs how are they handled.

  i'm just wondering has any body ever been busted on an apostate site because someone was able to identify them because of something they wrote.

  why i ask this question is because how would this be explained at a jc.

  because the person who reported it to the jc was reading something that they shouldn't of.

  Undercover- "deny, deny, deny.' Excellent advice. That, along with "I want to face my accusers" First, they probably only have one. Second, most dubs are cowards and will hesitate to testify against you TO YOUR FACE .Third, many of us have/have had similar stories and experiences which brings us back to plausible denyability.

  Where Does Material Success Come From - The Devil or God?

  how can you tell if your business successes are coming from satan or god?

  because if your work gets real busy and you miss some meetings and/or fs, is that how you tell that it's from satan?

  but then if you contribute a big amount every week, is it from jehovah?

  hahahahahhh... Hubby and i have had this exact conversation. Over a period of 60 years I heard God and Satan credited and blamed for everything under the sun in dubland. My father was a sucessful businessman/dub who had an interesting response to those who said he was lucky. (before the word was banned in Watchtowerland) Labor Under Correct Knowledge

  I missed a lot of TV over the last 30 years

  since i have stopped attending meetings i have realized that there are alot of good t.v.

  shows that i have missed as well as channels that i would not watch because they would no doubt be in opposition to the scriptures(har har).. .

  i have been watching the history channel and the discovery channel so much over the last few months that it is amazing.

  Hubby and my fav is Sons of Anarchy. The show is about a motorcycle gang (similar to Hell's Angels).The show is gritty,violent and accurate as to what really goes on. Even the towns in Calif. that are mentioned are true. My ex husband and 2 of his mistresses and friends were bikers/drug dealers so I have 1st hand knowledge of what goes on in their world. The 2 main characters are IDENTICAL to my ex and his 2ond wife.

  i wanted to anti-witness.

  i told her that baalam was sent on a sales call where the client turned out to be an inactive sister.

  Sarah, Baalam really WAS sent on a sales call and the poor sick lady really WAS an inactive sister! Co-winky-dink. I decided to relate the story to MIL just see what she would say. Her shallowness surprised even me!

  Hi Lois! You're right, MIL is a real piece of work- not just because she is a dub, (although it helps!) but bc she is one of the most selfish shallow people I've ever met. She's starting to get Alsheimers as well, which adds to the mix. Funny thing is....... when she and her many siblings were young almost all were wild as March hares. The girls married sailors and the boys were in gangs . The pappa Dub was a rumrunner during the depression. Now that the ones still living are very old, they talk all witnessey like they are "spiritual". It's very annoying.
