Oh, and JC and his coming and going and coming and going. And all this time I though he was sitting on a lawn chair in heaven next to God.

ADCMS, Of course, but I'm curious what they believe this week because I have to deal almost daily with my dubbie MIL.

If JC's ARRIVAL didn't occur in 1914 or 1919 then the "last days" could not have started either. (at least according to their previous understanding) Or am I missing their convoluted point?

Does Anyone Remember the "Around The World Assemblies"?
by titch inso, being that it is 2013, i recall that it was 50 years ago, that the "around the world assemblies" were held.
for those of us who lived in southern california, the first week of september was when we had the assembly, and it was held at the rose bowl in pasadena.
yep, the rose bowl, with no seats, per se, but just those hard benches as seats.

LOL Apog, you would have to be there to fully appreciate these marathon DCs. The funny thing is I really looked forward to them once I was old enough NOT to be taken out for a beating. The experience made me feel special as though this giant group of people and I were going to start something new and amazing-the New world! When all you know as a kid is this way of life you have no idea how weird it actually is. These conventions, although terribly long and difficult served to solidify faith in the WBT$. Especially when you would see old friends still faithful. The hot pastrami on onion roll sandwiches-priceless.

LOL Lois, i remember. recently i ran across some pictures of the welcome home gathering for my father in our motel room at Pasadina. I wish I could post it. There were at least 30 people there. There was PLENTY of Scotch and ginger ale flowing. Booze got the adults through the misery of the whole thing. Maybe I even met some of you there. I was the curly haired freckle faced kid with the thick kitty- cat glasses. LOL
