  If you found out TTATT at 80 and spent your entire life at Bethel, what would you do?

  I was 60 and hubby (slightly younger) when we learned TTATT. We are third gen with no family who have left except my daughter. We got caught in the financial crash at the same time as loosing our religion. It was NOT easy but we have started our entire lives over. We are SO GLAD to be out from under the weight of the WTBT$ !

  I know 80 is much different than 60 but I guess my point is: when people are ready they will leave. If not, they won't.

  If the 80 yo doesn't find TTATT on their own it would not be kind to tell it to them.

  they, of course, failed to explain the process by which that happened and since masturbation is likely a near universal practice, the claim fails the test of logic, as homosexuality is not the majority form of sexuality.. but over in the islamic world, an equally illogical claim is made.. mucahid cihad han, a turkish televangelist .

  Judge Judy says, "If something doesn't make sense it isn't true. (or you don't have all the facts) If we ask ourselves WHO would originate policies that not only protect pedophiles but actually PROMOTE them to positions of authority. We have the answer. The same person/s who made the policy that a JW wife was not scripturally free if her husband committed a homosexual act with someone else. The one/s who liked to have nude Bible discussions with younger men in the sauna at Bethel. The one/s who were accused of using their authority and trust to engage in sexual acts with children and teens.

  Look closely at the ones who formed the beliefs doctrines and policies of the group. Look at their attitude about women and children.

  At this point in time the GB.2 MAY be different in nature than the founders but they are too PROUD to change and admit the foundation they sit on (sexually speaking) was not as it appeared on the outside.

  Dear close friend.

  It is kind of you to let me know that I am in your thoughts. You have always shown yourself to be a true and loving friend. I realize you are sad because I am no longer at the Kingdom Hall and worry about my salvation.

  I want to ease your mind, if I can, by saying that I am happy and confident about my future so not to worry. As far as I'm concerned we will always be friends.

  can anyone recommend which steve hassan book to read, i see there are 3.. my mind is all over the place during this process of finally acknowledging and researching my doubts, ive been recommended his books on here, but which one is best?.

  I have read the 1st and 3rd. I too, prefer the first. Reading this book helps you to forgive yourself and others for being duped into the cult. It also helps you over feeling like an idiot.

  S Hassen is no dope. Reading about the circumstances surrounding his conversion to Moonies is a real eye-opener.

  How Much Do Circuit Overseers Make Under the Table, and is it Taxable?

  i was thinking about green handshakes, and i knew my wife and i personally would try to slide at least $100 each c.o visit to the c.o.

  if we were low on cash, we'd never hand him less than $20.

  how many of such handshakes does he receive in a weeks time?

  Brand new, "It must be nice"

  It depends on the shrewdness and the temperament of the CO and (don't forget) his wife. For example, I have a cousin who was in the circuit work with her husband. She ended up becoming an alcoholic and having a nervous breakdown. The pressure to act a certain way, dress a certain way, not being allowed to have children, having no permanent home, having very little alone time, having to be "up" and keep their schedule is very hard on those who require "down time". It broke her.

  In a 10 year period 2 of the CO's wives in just our circuit came down with cancer. I believe it was stress related.The Circuit and District work is not easy for many and the humble, honest ones are the most at risk.

  Mr Flip, Your 2 cents is worth more than gold to people whose hearts and souls have been crushed by the WTBT$. You were the first person on the board who reached out to us. Now you and Mrs Flipper are genuine friends. And since then we have met dozens more great ex JWs who I respect more than any we knew when we were "in".

  This site is the vehicle that gets the doubters, the brokenhearted, the pissed off, on the road to freedom of mind leading to a whole new and better life.

  the bible says there is just "one hope" for christians (ephesians 4:4).

  I can't for the life of me, figure out what WTS offers that strengthens anyones spirituality?
