  TOTALLY ADD: Thanks for your kind thoughts. We had it easy compared to the Town of Paradise.

  FLIPPER: Hi Friend! Thanks for your post. Wow, I'm so glad Mr. and Mrs. FLipper Jr. were not affected. What an amazing Video. There have been so many harrowing accounts of people barely escaping with their lives.

  Can you imagine the young school children have no schools? Only the High school survived. Where will they go?There is virtually no Downtown. No supermarket, no drug stores, veterinarian, What do they come home to?

  My hairdresser lost her home and possessions even the swimming pool in the Carr fire in July. They STILL cant start rebuilding after 7 inspections. They will be living in a camper for over a year!

  Hi everyone,

  Just back from work, couldn't answer till now.

  BIAHI: I think the Girl next Door lives farther South from me. You see there have been at least 3 record-breaking destructive fires recently in our State as well as countless smaller ones.

  Girl next door, I feel you. We saw 100- foot flames 3,000 feet from our house in the neighborhood where my best friend lives. Her house was saved but 6 of her neighbors lost theirs.

  What I find is noteworthy is that almost immediately the Red Cross and the Salvation Army were making shelters available, distributing hot food and other necessary supplies to evacuees, and collecting donations for more.

  Not a peep about JWs organizing ANYTHING.( no surprise there) They didn't do anything in Redding either.

  We are still friends with a young JW family who lost their home in Paradise. It was a "Wordly" group who started a Go-Fund-Me page for them.

  Wasanelder, Wow! The smoke is horrible. It was bad in redding at least 6 weeks. Don't forget your mask when you go outside.

  Smiddy: Thanks, Hubby and I were evacuated late July during the Carr fire in Redding, Ca. so I know the panic that comes from an announcement that you have 10 minutes to gather what you can and get out.

  Thankfully, our house didn't burn.

  In terms of destruction. 52,000 people are evacuated. Started Thurs.(yesterday) morning with bone-dry humidity and 40+MPH winds. in only one day it took out nearly the whole town of Paradise Ca.(Ironic) both business and residential. Even part of the hospital burned as they were trying to get everyone out while people were having surgery, giving birth etc. To date 6,713 homes/structures lost. At least 3 people burned alive in their car trying to evacuate.

  It is called the "Camp Fire" Still completely out of control. Don't know if the Kingdumb Haul was destroyed. I sure hope so!

  Do you remember this?

  when g. was a litle kid, remembering the watchtower study at age 9, hearing all the stuff, the paragraph, the questions, the answers, about topics i could not understand, so it became so abstract that it was not entering my ears and brains.

  it felt that i was no part of the group, someone alone on a distant planet.. do you remember this feeling?.

  Yup, I remember being bored out of my mind yet, certain words and phrases would make me curious. Like the time I was about 5 or 6 asking, "Mom, what is heavy petting?"
