I said IF ATMIII has a drinking problem.... I didn't say he DOES have a drinking problem.
This man along with his fellow members of the GB are in a unique position of making or changing Watchtower policy. I am pointing out that WT policies should be carried out evenly between the RandF and the highest ranking Overseer.
If elderly widowed faithful sisters can be DFed and shunned until their death no matter how sorry they are for drinking too much, then so should ANYONE, including but not limited to, AMIII.
what advice do you have for a teenager that is being raised as a witness but not baptized?
everyone is pressuring her to get baptized how to avoid that till they are 18 and they are 16?
how to stay sane in a household of religion you donΒ΄t believe in.
You could respectfully ask them if they would sign for you to marry someone you love right now? If not, why not?
Help them to reason that marriage is less permanent than Baptism and considered by the society as the MOST important decision in a persons' life. Let them know you don't feel comfortable just yet.
After all, the Bible never says how old a person should be to marry but it says "past the bloom of youth" Likewise, the Bible doesn't say how old to be baptized either except that "The Greatest Man who Ever Lived" waited until he was 30. Only MEN have urged young baptism not the Scriptures.
I hope this helps.

I'm not sure how strict the borg is these days about "drunkenness" but in the late 1980's I was in a cong where not one but two sweet, harmless sisters in their 70s were DFed for just that. I know the "inside story" because one of them was my Aunt, the other was a distant cousin, and the PO was my Uncle.
Both sisters were born in, lifelong active and faithful in every way. Both suffered horrible trauma from physical and emotional tragedies and found some solace from alcohol late in life. Both were seen ONCE at a restaurant somewhat tipsy. They were told on and counseled by the elders. Surprise surprise they relapsed.
Mind you, AA was highly discouraged and no help was offered or given to these poor souls. Although they both attended the meetings, sat in the back and suffered for years they were never reinstated. (reoffending) They died with the indignity of being DFed.
AMIII and the Borg he represents has done nothing to help people with addiction problems. Their MO is to ignore or worse yet, punish people in need of help.
So if AMIII actually does have a drinking problem I simply hope he is dealt with the same as my dear Aunt.

LMS, hahaha
Seriously though, we wouldn't be having a 31+ page discussion of AMIII's trip to the liquor store if he hadn't plastered HIMSELF all over the internet with his holier-than-thou broadcasts. Why? You ask?
Because he would have not likely IF AT ALL been recognized. He wanted attention. Now he's got it! LOL
hello friends,.
i don't post here much anymore but still check in to read from time to time.
yesterday i thought i would send a fb msg.
Elder Etta, Aude, and Zeb, Thanks so much for your condolences.
I bumped up a post from 3 years ago where I found out that Suzi had left the cult. I studied with her in the late 1960s when we were both still teenagers. She progressed to baptism and soon afterward I married and moved away when I was only 17.
I only saw her once in the mid-1990s. At that time we were both still believers, married with two children each. However, soon after our visit we both had horrible divorces and moved several times and so lost touch again.
Imagine my surprise when we found each other on this site.

Hello Friends,
I don't post here much anymore but still check in to read from time to time. Yesterday I thought I would send a FB msg. to SuziDrums and arrange a chat, as it had been quite a few months since we'd talked.
I was horrified to read a post from her son saying that Nov. 28 she was admitted to the hospital for back pain. They were told she had cancer and that it didn't look good. Only 3 days later she passed away.
I am still in shock and grief and am having a hard time expressing what a colossal loss this is to all who knew her.
Suzi, your heart, your spirit, your enthusiasm for life despite multiple tragedies, your intelligence and insight, AND your razor sharp humor will be missed more than I can communicate.
I wanted to arrange a meet-up with you, Dagney, Cha Ching, and anyone else who could make it near LA.
I was just a few weeks too late.
just curious if anyone put off having kids because the end was so close.
or because of you're "ministry" or lack of suitable mates..
Wow! I was not aware of the March 1st 1951 WT article saying that JW couples who choose to have a child should not be criticized. At that time my parents had been married 9 years and chose not to have children so they could "Pios-sneer" I now realize it was NO coincidence that I was conceived the month after this article came out!
My Hubby (Baalamsass) was married the first time in the late '70s to a young woman who they both knew could never bear children. He very much wanted to be a father but figured it would be a very short time before they could have plenty in the new "order". He would never have married her if he didn't believe WTBT$ hype about the nearness of the "end".
Fast forward 20 years, he is divorced and so am I with 2 teenagers. We fell in love and married but my kids were so mad I remarried they moved 5 hours away to live with their father. I was in my late 40s and did not want to have more children. Soooooo my hubby is VERY sad that he never will experience fatherhood. Fathers Day is awful for him.
apostatechickpublished on oct 24, 2017. a rap conversation with my new nemesis, jdub jenn about all the jw jewelry they wear, and the real definition of "apostate".
define yourself!
don't let them define you.. .
