  just a funny

  now that my mother has been laid to rest and i have no worries about the jw in the slightist, here is one funny..... in 2006 i obtained conservatorship over mom because she wanted to give all her money to the printing company.

  she had made a pledge of sorts to the "building fund" for $5000.

  well she found some of her old checks that were not attached to any account as i had opened a conservator account.

  Now that my mother has been laid to rest and I have no worries about the JW in the slightist, here is one funny....

  In 2006 I obtained conservatorship over mom because she wanted to give all her money to the Printing Company. She had made a pledge of sorts to the "building fund" for $5000. Well she found some of her old checks that were not attached to any account as I had opened a conservator account. She wrote out a check for $5K to the KH and put it in the "box". Two days later the elders wanted to meet with her because they could not cash the check. Stepping in as her new conservator, "Oh just bring the check over and I will take care of it for you". I met them at the door, and as they handed me the check I give him an envelope with a $5 bill in it along with a copy of the court order that she was not allowed to gift any moneys. I snicker inside every time I think of it.

  as many of you know, my mother passed away this past week.

  sitting here in the quiet of my hotel room i recalled a repeated wish i had since i was 10 years old.

  "if only mom would die i would be free (of the jws)".

  As many of you know, my mother passed away this past week. Sitting here in the quiet of my hotel room I recalled a repeated wish I had since I was 10 years old. "If only mom would die I would be free (of the JWs)". It is really starting to sink in.... I AM FREE!!!!!. No longer do I have to play nicey nicey to her JW friends. No longer will I have to put up with disrespectful people in my home. At age 53, still young, I plan on traveling with my husband of 35 years. I also have my 3 grandchildren and another one due next month. I am free to visit them as a grandmother should now giving them 100% of my love and attention. Not that I did not do that before.... but I was so limited by my mother. My last tie to the Printing Company is GONE! And to recite a popular song title: I DID IT MY WAY.

  thank you for all of your support durning the two difficult weeks my mother was on her death bed.

  last night at 10:30pm she breath her last with my sister and i by her side.

  this is a real end of an era for me as i have known little these past 8 years other than taking care of my parents.

  Another reason why 1914 is WRONG

  even if 607 had been the actual date of the destruction of jerusalem .... 1914 would still be wrong.

  when the wts says that "7 times" equals 2 x 3,5 times of revelation = 2 x 1260 days = 2520 days > one day / one year rule = 2520 years.. now, 2520 / 7 times means that one "time" has 360 "days".

  this corresponds to the lunar year.

  I'm sorry, but even as a born in I could not bring myself to do all the mental gymnastics the Printing Company requested to come up with 1914 or any other dates. It is all BS anyway and trying to proved or disprove BS is BS.

  1/15 WT- Guilt, Guilt, and More Guilt ! Black & White Cult Reasoning !

  this particular article was discussed or touched on a couple months ago regarding the wt society's statement concerning jw's putting " jehovah above everything else- including the family bond " .

  so i won't address those points in this thread, but there are many other points to address where the wt society uses guilt and black & white cult reasoning to control jw's minds with this information from the article titled, " let nothing distance you from jehovah ".

  first off in paragraph 5 the wt tries to make people feel guilty looking for work and insists that if you get any job that takes you away from family- it will distance you from jehovah !

  Hi all,

  That WT 1/15 is EXACTLY the kind of #%$! that was printed on a regular basis in the 1970s. MADE ME SICK, SICK, SICK. I mean it was a steady diet of it. I remember all that urgency while at the same time having to put life on hold. To each read what was put on this thread makes me want to vomit.

  i have had to make some very difficult decisions in recent days.

  in one way i feel good about takeing care of myself and my mother who is on her dead bed in the room next to me.

  mom has live with me since 2005 and started to make her journey to the other side on christmas day.

  Sorry, I keep forgetting you only know what i post. Over a year ago I saw how anxious my mom got whenever "Brother I need you time" would call or just pop over unannounced. She has severe dementia and he would push and prod her to cough up 15 minutes of time. NOTHING IS WORSE for a dementia patient than to be asked something that entails memory. She would be upset for days and wouldn't even remember what upset her so. The sisters were always coming over as she was not able to attend the meetings and talk about the latest nonsense which almost always included to do more in FS or the importance of attending the meetings. Guilt, guilt, guilt. Even second hand, it was nothing but guilt. Over time I have learned to become her gate keeper and now that she is at her worse, I don't open the gate very wide.

  And to be perfectly honest, I am protecting myself too, as I should. I am at her beside day and night and I need supportive people around me too. As a caretaker, her health/peaceful death, is greatly dependent on me. As I was her daughter to bring up as she saw fit, she is my mother to care for as I see fit.

  there was some media converage (from which i derived the information that follows).

  Oh do I remember that book for the Tuesday night book study. I think they went though it 4 or 5 times. It was greatly inaccurate history-wise, but at least it was history and those who thought they understood it walked around with big heads. The entire exercise was the lead up to 1975.
