Maybe tell her you feel that defriending her would feel to much like shunning and you don't believe in shunning, shunning is not loving or chrisitan like behavior, and that if she does'nt like or is offended by what you may post then feel free to click on the settings tab on facebook and choose the option of not having your feeds put on her timeline to read. You could add that you've been thinking of doing the same with her since there are times that you read things on her timeline that you find offensive. That way you can still keep contact without fear of offending each other, signed Love ya always Mom!

My mom wants me to disassociate myself from her on facebook if
by JWdaughter inmy mom sent me a email telling me that if i want to put any of that (non jw/non christian) religious stuff on my facebook then i should unfriend her.
i didn't respond directly.
i did take the email, remove id'ing aspects and ask my facebook friends to tell me what they thought of the request.

I agree with Black sheep...you really may not have to be disfellowshiped...my husband and I just quit going...and when quiestioned...give non direct answers...admit nothing to them...just say you are not doing anything wrong according to scripture, and have a clean standing before Jehovah...and that's all.... so far we are being left alone...yes we are shunned by most...but not as badly as if we were announced d/f'd. it's working so far for us...good luck to you....yes I said luck

I can't believe I used to do this 3 times a week!

My son is having a birthday party today
by mrsjones5 inone of his friends can't come because his mother is a jw.
i told my boy he shouldn't have said to the mother what kind of party it was.
he's just having a few friends over for food and video gaming, something his friend has done before at other "worldly" kids' house along with my son.. there will be no beheadings at this party..
