by BluesBrother inrecent controversies in america brought this to mind , although i don’t want this to become a political thread , rather to discuss the wts rules that stop a jw showing respect for the national anthem.. the watchtower says that doing so is an act of idolatry, giving worship to the state or its icon.
as such witnesses remain seated when the anthem is played.
in britain people simply stand quietly to show respect, there is no hand gesture.. when i was a boy, every cinema show and theatre concluded with the anthem,being played .usually it was orchestrally with no words sung.

I carry a 9mm with 10 rounds of SXT or super expanding Talon Winchester. That if for day to day. But when SHTF as it is in some cities I don't want 10 rounds while these terrorists are walking around assaulting people. If you break into my home tonight you will be found here in the morning. My personal AR is a 10 inch with a Spekwar K Suppressor on it. So they don't hear death coming. LOL

Listener, I forgot about that. Yes he did go on and on about aggressive activism. He stands with the terrorist group BLM at least IMO from what I have seen on his comments he does and then goes against JWs who were sexually abused going to a congregation to voice their grievance. If I get your point right you are maybe saying he is an opportunist? I can see that.
I also saw he was making this movie the truth about the truth and asking for funding and backers and traveling all over to film it. Not sure we need another movie there have been many documentary's made on the cult and all one needs to do is watch some of these. But then silence on this movie that is going to come out. Not sure if they just don't know what they are doing and its not working out or if like you say he is trying to figure out how to sell it to someone. I think money is his main focus not the cult and showing it to be dangerous.

Well if its a one of I would argue that I still my need more round for even just one person. Even people who train regularly under pressure will miss when shooting. But when its hundreds of people or thousands 6 or 10 rounds may not work well. An AR or AK with a nice drum or two will make rioters and looters think twice. The riots have shown some liberals that the cops can not and in some cases will not protect you. When push comes to shove only you can protect yourself. Remember better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
If you are sitting on the fence its time to ammo up and buy an AR or AK. I have both but recommend an AR15. The 5.56 is easy to shoot. Has little recoil and even with a 40 round mag is not all that heavy maybe clocking in at around 10 pounds or a bit less. A nice set of Magpull sights and Bushnell TRS25 and 16 inch barrel is also a plus. The AR is designed to be a modular rifle. It can be personalized into many configurations to fit your needs and likes. You can even buy a 22lr conversion kit so you can shoot cheap and at some ranges that will not allow 5.56 or rifle rounds. I am as of now a net seller. I bought up when prices were so low it was insane as TV sales commercials will say.
Ammo is up right now as are AR uppers and lowers and full rifles but can still be bought. Ammo is available but not for the 16 cents a round it was several months ago. We have an election where one side wants to ban guns and make sheep out of citizens and the Corona virus and the BLM terrorist and other orgs that want to destroy the USA. Not saying it will happen them destroying the US but prices and availability of guns are drying up fast.
After Sandy Hook it was almost 5 years before you could get an AR15 at any kind of normal price.

I used to go to the horse races all the time and bet 2 bucks here and there. I don't know that JWs can not go to horse races. And I heard but don't have any solid reference that JWs changed the gambling to never to only if its only for entertainment. Not sure where that really is. It is fun watching them bring in the horses and then run them though.

Economic Recovery after COVID-19
by Simon init feels like we've really turned a corner, this morning especially.. the covid lockdowns are ending and medical systems were not overwhelmed plus there are existing treatments that have been proven to be effective (like hydroxychloroquine) and new vaccines and medicines in the pipeline.
a week or so ago the dems were dead against opening things up but since they are encouraging protests (which often turn violent) they can't continue that stance - thus proving trumps claim that it will soon be gone.
the majority of the deaths were politician-assisted (which i hope people are prosecuted for) so it's not the big risk we were led to believe and (over) reacted to.. the bls reported this morning that the us economy just added a huge number of jobs (most on record) and will undoubtedly benefit even more from a drive to source local production and supply chains going forwards.
