Id also say there's a difference between 'going back' and 'going back and believing the lie' . If there's a going back at all.

There's more to why certain individuals go back, it's not helpful ( although I can see why you'd think it really) to say if they had half a brain. When (if) you know why certain public statements are made in the first place you'd then see the reasons behind it. One recent person who announced they were going back certainly has a brain.

The reason behind why the ex-JW community can never match Jehovah's Witnesses' success.
by Stand for Pure Worship inan average of five kingdom halls being constructed daily, almost 8 million brothers and sisters, dissemination of bible literature in 595 languages, 111,795 congregations worldwide, distribution of 179 million bibles available in 116 languages, 239 countries where jehovah's witnesses have a presence, etc.. need i go on?.
on the other hand........... crisis of conscience, freeminds, the awaa, jw.net, ummmmmm........hmmm........idk six screens or something?
not exactly working out for you guys.

If you believe your own religion, you'll die just for coming to this website. Shame.
go do something useful.
and amounts of bibles, literature means nothing, people strangely like bibles in their homes, they'd rather take a free one than go pay for one, so they take yours.

My struggle in leaving WTBTS - What is yours- if you want to share?
by Junebuggie inmy struggle- my journey finding salvationoctober 16, 2013 at 8:03pm"anyone who believes in the son of god has this testimony: god has given us eternal life, and this life is in his son.
he who has the son has life; he who does not have the son of god does not have life.
i write these things to you who believe in the name of the son of god so that you may know that you have eternal life.

What kind of serious research does it take to find Jesus? The thing I generally wonder about is if all our lives depend on it, why do we need to 'find' Jesus? Why isn't he making it incredibly easy for mankind rather than humans having to trudge through thousands of religions in the hope of maybe finding an answer. Maybe.
know what I mean?

Also, it's a public forum, if you post a message like that here you are going to face views different from your own.

I wasn't offended, everyone has a voice, I'm just saying I don't understand it. Born agains to me are no different than jw's, they sound exactly the same albeit with a very slightly different sound.
the thought of a god sending his son to die an excruciating death to make himself feel better because someone questioned him once, well that's a step to far into fantasy for me.

I get leaving the jw but I don't understand the finding Jesus part afterwards. That never makes sense to me,

Is Richard Dawkins an ostentatious acrimonious supercilious pusillanimous calumnious censorious vituperative querulous embittered obsessive and bombastic bully?
by slimboyfat inrichard dawkins closes down his free-thinking/free-thought site (www.richarddawkins.net) for 30 days to reconfigure it 'because too many morons were contributing drivel' (he doesn't put it quite like that!
) he is then surprised because those self-same contributors call him everything under the sun (i won't repeat the names flung at him on our ultra -refined boards).
he now wants the site more or less 'peer-reviewed' (by analogy with papers to learned/scientific journals having to be vetted by vips).

I like Dawkins. He can be a bit painful to watch sometimes but not half as painful as watching some of the deluded people he debates with.
evidence is king in my view and there is plenty supporting his views. Many people believe and have faith in god but that's hardly evidence.

I've lived in both Canada and Australia and I'd have to say Australia is the best (for me)
It is very expensive to live in Australia, especially Sydney, but that's relative to the wages here too. I'm glad I don't drink coke since it's $5 for 2litres!
Someone came into my work the other day and called me a bloody foreigner, which I thought was ironic in Australia. But on the whole Aussies love people, very friendly, I've met some of the best people I've ever met in my life here.
The weather is glorious, yes hot at times but sure beats trudging through the snow, freezing trying to work.
The beaches are outstanding.
The bike trails are great.
Loads of beautiful national park.
it like anywhere, has lots going for it and things against. Expensive. Property in Sydney is abnormal prices. The people, the place, the food all great and of course the wine, now that is amazing, some of the best wines I've ever tasted.
