Are the writers in the writing department purposely misquoting people?
by paulmolark inafter reading that great post about the june 1 article on science i got to thinking.
although it is great to believe there is this huge group of guys in the jw writing department that are constantly looking to mislead us by twisting the words of scientist etc... i really think it is more likely they are google researchers that do not have the ability to grasp the thoughts that are being expressed in the scientific article they quote mine from.. i honestly believe the reason that this happens is because of the individuals they use to write these magazines.
these are not college educated men.

I agree with Marvin. They are pursuing their own agenda, no matter what. -

see the difference between the spiel to the jw faithful (s. lett) and the evidence given to secular authorities (watchtower supervisor).
the truth: jws only look after the spirituality of the child.

Who saw this one? See the difference between the spiel to the JW faithful (S. Lett) and the evidence given to secular authorities (Watchtower supervisor). The truth: JWs only look after the spirituality of the child. The physical side belongs to the secular authorities (although pedophiles are not reported to the secular authorities). Yes, they do speak out of two mouths with forked tongue.

Red Bull punted in baptismal talk
by Vidqun inan acquaintance reported that the brother giving the baptismal talk at a regional assembly recently punted red bull a few times.
he never mentioned red bull by name, but he referred to the drink that "gives you wings" more than once.
this sounds like subliminal advertising.

I know for a fact that the CO officiated at the occasion. He approves everything that is said from the platform. Would he have gone along with such an illustration? What happened to Jehovah and Jesus? Or is it a case of replacing Holy Spirit with another spirit? No matter how one reasons on the matter, it is hilarious? And the dear brothers and sisters just lap it up because they love it... -

He never mentioned Red Bull by name, but he referred to the drink that "gives you wings" more than once. This sounds like subliminal advertising. Would they get paid for it? The gist of the talk was that baptism takes you on a long an arduous journey. After many tribulations and trials you reach you reach your destination, God's new heavens and new earth according to Is. 65:17. Can anyone verify the above according to his or her own experience at an assembly? -

Do Jehovah Witnesses give out mis-information deliberately?
by smiddy indo you think it is possible that the g.b.is deliberately giving out mis-information to confuse either apostates or media that might be investigating them for one reason or another ?
speak out of both corners of their mouth .
and the reason they do so ?

To explain above statement: The CO and his henchman (local elder) came to see me (an apostate) after three years. They said there was a place in the org. for me. Would I not be interested in coming back? I said no, actually I would be ashamed to be part of an org. that protects pedophiles and not the children. His eventual answer: "We are only human..." The discussion drifted to their participation in the UN and OSCE. I said that I believe in Christian neutrality. He (the CO) brought up the issue of the library card, trying to explain to me that if I moved to a new town and I wanted to join the library, what should I do? I said that would be simple, I would join the library, not the political party that was in charge, and my Christian neutrality would remain in tact. He then admitted that the GB also make mistakes, so I read to him Matt. 24:45-50, emphasizing the actions of the wicked slave. Then he pulled a rabbit out of the hat about the wicked slave being the Catholic Church. I was quick to point out that the latest interpretation points to 1919 as the beginning of the slave, and that the evil slave was of no consequence. Needless to say, the two beat a hasty retreat. Noteworthy was the fact that they did not use their silver swords (grey Bibles) once. I (as the apostate) was the only one to refer to the Bible. It's a case of defending the indefensible with lies. -

Consequences of lying: What comes around, goes around. So it will be with all their lies. These will go all the way round and come back and bite them on the bum. -

It's a handy reference to have, including copies of the relevant documentation and newspaper articles. You have the proof in one book. Not that a bona fide Witness will ever look at such heinous apostate material. -

Why don't some members of the congregations never slow down or get tired out?
by RULES & REGULATIONS inmy uncle passed away two years ago at the age of 83. he served as an elder from 1965 to the last day of his life.
even till the end of his life he was still reading the bible.. he was an elder for 48 years.
never missed a meeting, pioneered during the summer months ( took vacation weeks),pioneered after retiring at 65 years old, never went on real vacation, went to all summer conventions and assemblies ( traveling to new york, wisconsin, canada and california ).. he also conducted book studies, watchtower meetings, gave sunday public talks, assembly parts, elder meetings, had a weekly book study with his family, cleaned the kingdom hall, and donated money when the congregation was short money for the month.. everyone is zealous in the beginning but tire out sooner or later.

The counter argument here is that he died at 83. Who knows, he might have gone over a 100, if he looked after himself better. Concerning my grandmother, smokers in the family always pointed to her and said she smoked till she was in her eighties. I countered by saying, when she did die at 84 she died of double pneumonia. She would have reached a hundred if she did not smoke.
