The Government regrets to confirm the death of a resident of Gibraltar from COVID-19. The total number of deaths in Gibraltar related to COVID-19 now stands at 95.
The deceased was a man aged 60-65 years old, who died this afternoon of COVID-19 pneumonitis with superimposed bacterial pneumonia. The deceased had underlying medical conditions and was unvaccinated against COVID-19. This will be recorded in tomorrow’s statistics as a death from COVID-19.
The Chief Minister, Fabian Picardo, said: ‘It is deeply upsetting to announce a death from COVID-19 after so many months. My deepest condolences go to the family and friends of the deceased.
‘Today’s news is a harrowing reminder that the pandemic is still not over and this deadly virus is still all around us. Please continue to follow public health advice, wash your hands, and call 111 at the first sign of symptoms. The incidence of COVID-19 related deaths in those who are vaccinated is much lower than those who are not. I strongly urge everyone who has not been vaccinated to contact the GHA to arrange a vaccination now.’
The Director of the CDC made an important admission during an interview today on CNN. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky stated the vaccine does not prevent COVID-19 infection, nor does it stop the vaccinated person from transmitting the infection or the delta variant.
According to Director Walensky, the only benefit from the vaccine now is presumably that it reduces the severity of symptoms.
If a vaccinated and non-vaccinated person have the same capacity to carry, shed and transmit the virus – with or without symptoms – then what difference does a vaccination passport or vaccination ID make?
Joey jojo, the truth hurts, especially if you have been vaccinated. If you are so sure of your facts, point out the errors. Please be specific. No generalizations. Thank you in anticipation.
There is no evidence that vaccinated asymptomatic carriers are asymptomatic because of the vaccine. There are likely just as many asymptomatic non-vaccinated carriers. The data shows an equally distributed infection rate regardless of vaccination rate, which is simultaneously admitted by Direcor Walensky, which, as an outcome, is an admission that undercuts the entire argument for compulsory vaccines.
The reverse is also evident in the data. There are just as many vaxxed carriers who are symptomatic (ie. sick), as there are un-vaxxed carriers who are symptomatic (ie. sick). The percentage of vaxxed and non-vaxxed people hospitalized is identical to the vaxxed/non-vaxxed population around the hospital.
In regional populations with extremely high vaccination rates, the COVID infection rate continues unabated.
The percentage of vaccinated people hospitalized is identical to the percentage of people vaccinated in the community.
In Gibraltar, 99% of the population vaccinated; COVID infection rate climbs. In Iceland over 75% of population vaccinated; infection rate climbs. Singapore and Israel show the same thing.
If you vaccinate people during an epidemic you actually encourage variants to proliferate. Those resistant to the vaccine will flourish. Fauci and WHO should have followed India's successw story by treating COVID with Ivermectin. Today they have it under control.
Are those refusing the vaccines Republicans, hillbillies and country folk as MSM proclaim? Wrong. Most anti-vaxxers are highly educated and also a great deal of black people. Do they know something we don't know?
dr. leanna wen is currently spreading the fallacy that unvaccinated persons should have vaccines mandated because they are like drunk drivers… they have the right to be drunk at home she says, but wanting to be part of society at large without being vaccinated is like driving drunk and putting others at risk.
besides ignoring the science proving that persons who have had sars cov-2 have natural immunity that equals or exceeds anything that could be imparted from the mrna shot, without the side effects or need for boosters, ( sorry big pharma, you’ll be losing $$$ ) this illustration just smacks of illogical reasoning.
it reminds me of the borg comparing getting baptized to getting your driver’s license.
Israel says they have a new drug. 90% of Covid patients treated with it was discharged from hospital. Sounds promising.
i'd appreciate getting some opinions about a decision i will shortly have to make.. i am moving soon and have the choice of two different apartments in two different towns.
i am hoping this move will be one of the last that i have to make - i have moved frequently in my life - at least for a long, long while.. the apartment i like the least is in a town and a location that i love due to my history with, and connection to the area.
the apartment i love is in a town and location i am not as crazy about, but it is still a really nice area.
Draw up a list of pros and cons for both. Go for the one with the best score (high pros and less cons).
from haaretz newspaper:.
what does a pig skeleton discovered in jerusalem say about first temple era jews?.
the argument here is that sanctions on eating pork were only introduced in the 2nd temple era.. so what does that tell you bout biblical accuracy.. .
For those interested in the subject, there is a book called "Israelite Religions" by Richard S. Hess, an archaeologist and professor at Denver Seminary. In the Northern and Southern Israelite kingdoms many religions did the rounds, e.g., those practiced on the "high places," Massebot or standing stones (similar to Stonehenge), asherahs, some of which one also encounter in the Biblical account. Often when things did not go well, the Israelites turned to other deities, e.g., Baal.
Another Is by William G. Dever, "Did God have a wife?" He wrote about Yahweh and Asherah and divided Israelite religion into "state religion" and "folk religions." Of course the Biblical account emphasizes "state religion" but if you read between the lines you will notice quite a few different religions and cults amongst the people.
