  I held a professional job for years and enjoyed it. But i made more money when i did housecleaning. Teachers, nurses, etc, do not receive a lot of money (as compared to those with same education) but have the respect of community..Truck drivers, cleaning personnel can make more money but it is not considered as good a job by some.The teacher, professor, may be considered an intelletual, but not so the truck driver.Really, however, u pay the bills, what does it matter?It takes smarts to run a business.

  There is an inordinate amout of window cleaners, janitors, house cleaners, sign makers, in the jw org. children are not encourged to get higher education. We all no that. but things are changing.

  And yes, that was a pic of an older person at the walmart-not a janitor.

  The poor guy sits up there in his little cabin in Canada, all lonely, in hopes of conjuring up someone to talk to here on the Internet. Have any of you here noticed how few replies he gets to the almost daily comments that he makes in various threads? He rarely gets noticed, and doesn't even seem to know it.

  the above is a very mean spirited statement.

  Who believes in Ghosts?

  i watched a movie on tv the other night called "the others" with nicole kidman.

  it got me thinking about ghosts.

  of course, my jw thinking automatically kicks in and tells me that its.........come on, you all know the answer.......demons.

  whatever i have seen has either been in the human form, or was like a streak of light, or a smoke form. I have never seen anything that was really physicaly frightening.

  i tried that last time we had a thread about ghosts and i never did see it. oh well.

  I think that some people who claim to be spirit mediums may be able to contact them, Since i have had contact with them, I think they could make contact with anyone. the question is, What are u contacting? I doubt it is a deceased relatvie, i really do. For a time i visited psychics and such. But i no longer do such things. I no longer am trying to encourge contact with whatever is in the spirit realm. I really think ,based on my own experiences, that contact with the spirit realm is only harmful. I do not spend time any longer thinking about these things, as it only proved harmful for me and my family. I admit, it seems itriging, but the people who have told me about their contacts, reported that even if they started out positive, they were always harmful or upsetting in some way.

  On this area, i think the WTS is correct.

  I believe in spirit life. i am inclined to think they are demons, as we have been taught form wts, but maybe not. I have and my husband has seen them. Once my hubby and i were in our bthroom and he was shaving. I looked up and saw a smoky small cloud by the cutain, I pointed it out to my hubby, and we both watched as it went through the wall to the outside.

  I saw something as it streached through the sir at my current home a few years ago. Were i worked once, both, I and another person, saw something streak through the air accross the hallway. We were glad we both saw it.My dgt in law, says that they grew u wijth a ghost in the house .it would often for things to help them, once she was sitting and reading and the pages to the book turned by themslefs.

  I have had many more experiences, but hesitate to relay them as the first post i made on this forum was about this, and i was advised to see a psychitrist. so sufice to say . i have had more experiences, some seen, some while asleep, and in all cases i did not feel the spirit was there for my help. I agree with the person who said, why are ghosts always from another era, and why would'nt all your relatives try and contact u if they could? If i could keep in cotact with my loved my ones i would. I don't believe they are the deceased.

  I believe that all the people who have these experiences can't be nuts. Sure , a small percentage could be chalked up to this. But many pepople have had these experiences and u know what -MANY DO NOT TELL PEOPLE FOR FEAR OF BEING THOUGHT CRAZY.

  i think the real question is, not if these spirit enties exist, but what exactly are they?

  valis, how did u get that info from that link? i went there and all i saw was a pic of 2 lambs and a link to SL . org and when i went to it , it says "SL will be back shortly". obivioulsy u have tech skills i do not possess-(big surprise lol)

  with the usual link i used ot get to SL i get a "forbidden access" and a 404 error. as or now.

  yes beans, i do see u have a vested interest here. Whether bill is personally liked or not-he still exposed this and the survivors need someone to keep going with this. Otherwise the WTS, will win,,hands down.
