I'm the resident Meat Loaf /Jim Steinman fan. I see you got Bonnie Tyler in there too. I met ML at a meet and greet. His concerts are great.

Just a thought, but perhaps it represents a virgin sacrifice? I'm serious, the calf is a virgin.
Jehovah was big on virgin sacrifices. recall the daughter who greeted her father and ended up being a virgin sacrifice.

I listened to it. At first I was irritated with the person who was debating Simon regarding him being banned- then Mouthy came in to help Simon ( he he just like on the board). Mouthy then came in to tell Simon someone had posted who was suicidal. I sort of had an epiphany.
This is what JWD is and has always been about. The interaction between Simon and Shawn and Mouthy- that is JWD. With all the board wars maybe we have forgotten what this and other places ( Randy's site) have meant for us. I know it is so easy to give up- to say it is too much -and it is too much for one person. I also think legal assistance is totally appropriate given what has happened.
We have turned it into a city of refuge ( getting all biblical here). For the vast majority it is a place for active jws to lurk and read. We are helping people to get out to this destructive cult-one that takes lives of family and friends. It takes children's lives. It hides rapists and child molesters and looks the other way at spousal abuse and child abuse.. It prevents mentally and emotionally ill persons form seeking treatment.
I think this is worth fighting for.
ok, so in the gilbert simental molestation case, the elders hid behind clergy client privilege.
but why didn't they want to speak out against a molester?
why did they not happily say,"yes, ole brother gilbert told us what he did"?
I never even thought about it from a financial point of view, but you're right. Ironically, I think that if they DID report pedophiles to the police (whether they were required by law or not) and disfellowshipped them, you'd have very, very few Witnesses who would be interested in sueing the OrganizationII have always been told " the answer is MONEY."
