1.- UN finally became tired of the wt seven head beast crap etc
2.- WT could be of help to the UN
3 UN told WT either you are with us or against us
4.- If you continue against us here is what we will have to do about you...
5.- if you change your mind (now that you oracle is diying or dead), or at leat your actitude we can be forgiving, we may even help you, $$$.
Justice system do that all the time with criminals. As long as the criminal cooperate to get something done.

i reviewed it again, and understand its importance better now that i know more about the jw history.. let me summarize some of the information that struck me.

Michael Jackson still a JW!
by ShaunaC inlast night on one of the entertainment magazines shows they said that michael jackson just gave an interview to tv guide.
in it he says he is still a jw and still goes door to door in disguise.
i had heard a rumour recently that he still donated a lot of money to the society but had no clue he still claimed to be one.

really how long it took you to find out the truth about the truth or at least to become really distrust about the whole thing, and why.. to start i just knew, by summer 1974, that big a was not comming on 1975. the oil embargo, nixon etc kept me worry for a while.
i even resigned a very lucrative and promising job to piooner.

How did you find out about CoC? I did not know anything about the book until 1996!!! thanks to the web. I eveen know R Franz and Cinthia for a long time, very good people both of them they were part of our family so to speak.Anyway the book just confirmed my feelings, I knew too much how thing were inside to trust the wt.
But when they blamed, around 77 or 78, the R&F for the 1975. I became angry and told my wife so. I told her i remember each and everything they said about 1975 and they were understimating our collective memory or something.
I do rembember GB Shorder kind of apologizing in a public talk for the false expectation, around 1980.
