last weekend i spoke to my good friend who was a jw elder but has since stepped down, nonetheless still calls me on a regular basis despite my being df'd.
first he tells me that the dateline topic is hot.

Ttrying to reason with 70 years old 'spiritual' jw motherinlaw?
What did you expect?
It is much better if she/they get informed or learn the thruth about the truth through third channels. Better if they can not respond to the channel/messenger, so they are forced to hear or read, such as newpaper article or tv show similar to dateline...
Otherwise she/they can hear but can't listen or reason. Some burn in rage and kind of become a totally 'different' person while reacting to the real truth. Amazing, it almost makes me belevie spiritual forces exist.
Fear/Anger is tye typical reaction when you confront someone with facts they dont want hear about..
Been ther done that.

conduct a poll to see if a more serious FORUM SECTION or board is needed.
As it is when yout hit "ACTIVE" everthing is sorted together, fluff and all.
You can make a second ACTIVE button just for the serious stuff maybe you could make the second "ACTIVE" button user defined, with a default setup of course.
DONT forget a fixed topic always at the top "HOW TO USE THIS BOARD", locked, just with the instructions.

this isnt even unique to christianity, which started off with strong millennial expectations in the 1st century, and for the most part retains the same expectations almost 2000 years later.

LETTER READ TONIGHT
by biblexaminer inwell, the wts has directed all elders in canada to read a letter concerning the child abuse issue.
it is the same whitewash as read in the us a while back when dateline aired.
it seems that on the 'eve of destruction' (ie bbc and panorama) the wts has decided to read a letter that was obviously penned weeks ago.

CO, DO and other at the top "know better".
Actually they always think they are in such a position because they are smarter, more spiritual, honest etc etc.
For a couple of decades they have been able to "know better" .Many even aproved DF "trouble makers" and the like. Aprroved actions related to 'silentlambs' and so on.
Many did not do what they had to do, stand for the truth and justice. Instead of protecting a corporation.
A true almighty/powerfull GOD does not need anyone or corporation to help her/him/it keep his name clean by abusing, denying the rights of silentlambs or lying, DF anyone with question etc etc.
Now they see clearly the handwritting on the wall but feel it is too late.
Lambs have the right to be informed about misleading "pastors". They are the true victims.
Victms of Victms is no longer an excuse for the hi ranking leaders.

NEARLY 17 YEAR OLD BOY IS MINISTERIAL SERVANT

i just heard some wonderful news of another boy being appointed a ministerial servant.
the comment was that even though he is young, he is very mature.another person, speaking of a different boy being appointed said that he had the added advantage of being home schooled and that really helped him to mature.

I just made a quotation to originate the topic and I dont have time to elaorate righ now...
But here is a silly analogy: I don't think an ORDINARY citizen needs to call an engineer to be able to USE her vcr or cd player.
I am surprised we dont need a lawyer to open a bank account or apply for a drivers license, or do we?
Now within the context of the purpose for this forum,
(WT and France) Just about one of the very few countries "legallyl" questioning WT activites.
Finally and relative to other sectors, USA justice system is too far from being as "friendly usable" as it can be. It many cases it defeats its purpose, at the very least it makes it very difficult.
It is a vicious cycle lawyers are in charge everywhere, they make the rules. Does it sound familiar to a WT dilemma?

Yes, including lots of jargon, illogic logic (unneccesary) and so on... x law will apply IF, OR, AND, THEN... many get shafted.

Cygnus is in bad shape
by Cygnus injust so i don't miss anybody who is interested.... my results from the ekg and the echogram showed a severe leak in a heart valve.
i am going for an angiogram on the 15th but the cardiologist says the liklihood is great that i will need open heart surgery.
rare for a 30 year old but if necessary, it is necessary.. no word yet on the results of the blood work for liver enzymes and hepatitis.
