What Do You Think Would Make A Witness Decide It Was Now Time To Leave The “Truth”?

is there anything that will make that loyal witness ever see the light??

you know, that well respected elder, pioneer, or witness who has been in the “truth “ for decades..

well, they would have to admit to themselves that they have been wrong.

If there is a gram of stubbornness in a person this is the hardest thing ever to do.

If they are self righteous then it is impossible.

If their life has been circled by meetings, getting ready for, attending, the convo after the very ritual of meetings and they have no other event in their lives like a creative hobby, music playing or listening, some sport, perhaps some further education courses and so on then they haven't a snow ball in hells chance of leaving.

Add to this as they have gotten older they will probably seen loved ones pass-away so the chance of ever seeing them again is welded into the wt influence and that alone.

Utterly tragic ..........

It was all GREEK to me

around 1976 i got the wild idea i'd like to learn greek (for my study of the christian greek scriptures and to 'get to the bottom' of whether i was wasting my time being even a token jehovah's witness.

) i would read the actual text and avoid my denomination's opinion commentaries, you see.. .

i learned the characters in the greek alphabet rather quickly and started reading an interlinear (english/greek) bible aloud - practicing my enunciation.

Your kids do well at school but dont go further as they must get a shit job that pays very poorly and pioneer.
when there is a inquiry into the religion but the members are told not to view any of it.
when the inquiry is labelled 'apostate lies' but the accuser doesnt name the inquiry as such.
when the principals of the org are too busy to attend the inquiry and tell it you have no power to make us.
when every damn thing is pagan except white bridal dresses, wedding rings and mens neck ties.

Why do CO's refuse to strip Elders of their position?

in several congregations i attended many elders were downright evil and flat out drunk with power.. many times i personally knew of things done by them that would have been a disfellowshipping offense had they not been elders.

and even though many times these issues and spiritual atrocities were reported to the co's and hq they would many times (if not all the time), get off with a mere slap on the wrist or a forced apology.. why do you believe elders are so protected?.

my theory is the authority integrity within the congregation.

what will be the wt/gb action against those who were named to the CARC/ British Commission of Inquiry/ The Canadian class action and the Conti case and the $34,000,000 pay out case earlier this year in the US. ?

Anyone drop out of high school or not focus on grades becuase the end was near

i dropped out with 3 months left to go of the 12th grade.

my uncle offed me a job and the end was only a few years away.

my mother even though she was dyed in the wool at the time said she would only go along with it if i took a correspondence course out of american correspondence school out of chicago.

re home schooling or leaving school.

It became apparent that some young ones were doing the bs to their naive parents that school was "so immoral" and quote various other wt propaganda that they had to leave ..........and get a job. The parents didnt realize in their wt wally world that the work place is filled with ordinary people too some of who are grossly immoral the majority are not. The real reason for their kids wanting to leave was to get an income and buy all the bling it would buy. Proven by the fashions that began to turn up to kh and conventions.

this denouncing of education by the wt is a major reason i finally left.
There was a water-shed moment when the local high school was having graduation and this clashed with mid week meeting and one of the elders was distressed that so many were not present.
