  I think JW's are like a cult

  why has the jw's repeatedly mentioned in their magazines and on their website, the child abuse problem with the catholic church but has not mentioned the child abuse problem within their own religion?why are jw's frequently informed about the court cases that are won on behalf of their religion, but rarely informed about the many cases they lost?

  why have their religion's leaders never informed the regular jw's about all the child abuse cases they've lost?why have the jw's leaders produced videos and literature talking about all the persecution of jw's in russia, but remain silent regarding the fact that russian is persecuting nearly all christian faiths?my belief is that answers is because they're a cult.

  i learned about cults today in school and to me they seem to fit it.tyler (i'm using my uncle's account)

  oh boy, the meetings lined up for december are culty.. it all starts with a 5 minute talk someone has to give on the topic "why should we not be troubled by the increase of memorial partakers in recent years?".

  the next week again inserts jws into bible prophecy, first with "the earth swallowed up the river", which claims that court victories for the org are really god's doing.

  there is no mention on who is responsible for the many judgements against the org.. then there's this chart to be discussed that same night:.

  So the technology to print and the electricity to run it will still be around.

  and "lists.." to what end so the survivors can send them an email..?

  the special treatment for churches has ended and child abuse must be reported," child protection minister luke donnellan said in a statement....

  a letter obtained by inq has shed light on the secretive methods the jehovah's witnesses are undertaking to erase the impact of child sexual abuse within the sect.. by georgia wilkins sept 10, 2019. a body representing the jehovah’s witnesses in australia has written to all elders of the group ordering them to destroy confidential records, including notes taken by elders investigating child sexual abuse, in an instruction that has enraged survivors of abuse inside the secretive christian sect.. in a letter obtained by inq, dated august 28, a body called the christian congregation of jehovah’s witnesses (australasia) instructs elders to destroy so-called judicial hearing records and certain congregation notes.. “we ask that each elder check his personal computer, or hard copy files, and even his meeting bag, to ensure that no confidential correspondence is retained outside the congregation’s confidential file,” the letter states.

  it also directs elders to destroy information aired against so-called “wrongdoers”: “if this ‘wild talk’ is recorded in detail, it may not be accurately assessed when reviewed out of context,” it says.

  fyi , it's tuesday 10th september 2:36am here.. i am categorically not going to blame the cult for every poor choice.

  i am conscious of the fact that i was at a genetically determined disadvantage academically; i was never going to be outstanding in my achievements, no matter how hard i tried.

  They are the norm.

  Jw are so conditioned to not do or to only do what they have been told that anything happening outside of that and they are stuffed.

  The world is as useless but the world doesnt tell you how loving they are.

  I saw a brother collapse to the floor. He was suffering from a condition which left his limbs twisted and speech distorted. Everyone just stood there and stared. I attended to him and his father came over and started telling him forcefully to get up.

  An elderly sister got herself in a muddle with hand bag and all trying to get out of a car other other sisters ganged up to keep me away (I have nursing training)and just kept saying to her "you can do it' causing the older one even more distress.I left the experts to it.
  

  and, I have never met a jw who has ever done a first aid course.

  this was built in 1929 to house the newly resurrected “ancient worthies” such as abraham, david, and other old testament men of faith which were supposed to have been already resurrected in the year 1925.
