I think the bigger issue that has gone over people's head is the fact that the Watchtower Bible & Tract Society makes investments, period. I remember stories of brothers being "stumbled" to learn other brothers did this as it was viewed as "gambling".

according to what they say if i'm correct an investigation was done back in 1998 in concerning what american companies invested money in to germany.
mike and kim state that a document they have attained shows a list of american firms that had invested into germany as late as 1943. on this list is non other then watchtower !!

by jayjay78 infirstly i'm a df'd witness.. i was in the org all my life.. vividly remember out witnessing as a kid in the 80s with my mum and having apostates jumping houses before we could get to them ..all the way up the street.. remember it because the guy looked like tom baker from dr who - frizzy hair and long colourful scarf.. i think the people at the doors were made more curious by them actually, so when we knocked ,they were inclined to have a listen.. anyway i'm out and cant see myself ever going back,because my family has fully shunned me..and even if i was to go back and be a member..i don't think i could forgive them...totally scarred me.. anyway my question is :.
if you were head of this religion and you wanted to keep it clean and pure etc..how would you deal with people who delib broke the rules?.
no shunning of course..but whats the alternative?

Why should humans do the work that belongs to the Lord? When the Israel, God's chosen people and practicers of the only true religion, strayed from the path YHWH sent in the Babylonians and punished them. After all, only Jehovah truly knows a person's heart and whether they are repentant.

Coming Out To My JW Sister
by Ame SF innow, i have been mentally "awake" for quite a while, but i'll just say march/april this year.
i won't go into detail about what it was that made me "realize" everything, so don't bother asking.. so, i've known for years that i wasn't like most girls in my classes, kingdom hall, and just in general.
from a very young age i had that obvious interest in the same sex, but seeing as i was seemingly the only one feeling that way i would brush it off and eventually i started getting interested in guys.

The only problems that will arise are if you A) Refuse to publicly denounce homosexual acts and B) you ever act on your feelings.
That's the official stance of the religion of love and peace. Unofficially, fellow Witnesses may unnecessarily distance themselves from you.
I cannot see a way to be gay and happy as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm happy to see your sister treat you with love and kindness.

Has anyone thought about if a General strike take place by undocumented immigrants.

There are no "undocumented immigrants". They are illegal aliens.
Anyone can get an Employee Identification Number from the IRS. That is how illegal aliens open bank accounts, etc.
If you want to pay twice as much for your house and 4 times as much for produce, messing with the illegal aliens who build everything and pick our crops is a sure way to do it.

the brother decides not to yield to his employer’s demand and is thus dismissed.. the brother seeks for work very actively over a significant period but without any alternative being found.

I once belonged to a circuit where many brothers, including elders and servants, worked for oil refineries. These were high paying jobs. Most rarely had to miss a meeting due to work. However, it was technically shiftwork.
We had a circuit overseer come though that condemned shiftwork regardless if it interfered with meetings. 9-5 or nothing! Nights and weekends off was a must.

Can’t cope with being disfellowshipped…..Need some advice

but i can’t get reinstated and have used some of the advice already given.. i was df’d many months ago and go to all the meetings and do all the preparation for the meetings, but the jc committee keep refusing me.
tomorrow at the clam meeting i am puting yet another letter in and will be called for another dreadful jc meeting.. 1. what can i say to the elders to show that i am truly repentant?.

This does not help, but keep this in mind - You cannot expect a reasonable answer to your questions because the whole situation is not based on reason.
Three, uneducated, untrained men listen to a person bear his sole on an alleged act of misconduct. He admits his actions were wrong and begs forgiveness. Now these three men are supposedly able to -
1) Be human lie detectors
2) Read your heart to tell if you're repentant or not
The definition of repent means "to feel remorse". Angels are not even able to tell if a human is repentant. How would imperfect window washers and carpet layers be able to read your heart? Even being "spirit directed" cannot help imperfect men read another's heart.
I was privately reproved by a judicial committee. I thought the whole thing was BS. My wife and I messed around once just before we were married. The elders said they believed I was truly repentant, but I had to be punished. So, there I was, first time offender who was an exemplary brother having all my privileges taken from me for something I could not do again because I was now married to the person I sinned with. My wife would literally have to die or leave me for another man for me to be in a position to commit the same sin.
Punishment is a part of discipline, but you can be disciplined without punishment.

An eventful day few year back
by Chook ini'm having a big blue with a couple of elders , it eventually ends up an around table ,5 all together,one a co. up until this point i believed in my heart what these guys spoke it was truthful.
my trust was diminishing.
the story starts like this ,we get a 26 year old person appointed as elder.
