I'm not sure if it's a good idea for your wife to be there. It's hard to talk to two cult members at once…one feeds off the other, and they will go into groupthink. When there is only one cult member present, it will be easier to get them to think, and they won't be afraid of what the other cult member is thinking of them.

Apostasy my ass!
by Glander inlet's call it what it is - disagreeing with the watchtower bible and tract society after baptism into the cult.
in no way is the literal definition of the word "apostasy" applicable to what the cult is using the word for.
it is a buzz word that scares the crap out of the rank and file and keeps them from communicating with those who have become enlightened about the cults lies.. we here on jwn have accepted the wt label, "apostates", with a sense of humor, such as calling our get togethers apostafests, etc.. but we are actually the "enlightened"..

Arrogant people will be in-your-face and quite visible. And since this Witness seemed arrogant himself, most likely that shaped his encounters. Arrogance begets arrogance. The majority of 'apostates' live quietly and undercover. Most are invisible.

I need nothing else
by MsGrowingGirl20 ini just want to be a true christian..i love god and jesus christ....all i simply want is to be a follower of christ...a genuine one...i don't want to read matthew 23 and know that it aptly fits my situation...i want to feel refreshed under the love of my father...i don't want to fake anymore...i shouldn't even have felt the need to anyway.... i don't know what to do....i'm tired and all i want to do is serve the almighty god...i don't want to have doubts because that alone makes me know that this isn't what god wants...i just want to truthfully be a follower of jesus...a true one.
gosh....i feel as though my life has no direction...all i want to do is follow christ the right way.... i'm sorry for rambling on....

An addendum, I think what AnnOMaly says it good wisdom.
Also--read and study the Bible daily, pray to your Heavenly Father. In time, there should be a compass needle in your mind and heart pointing in the direction of your next step. Do not be anxious about what your next step will be after that. Just take one step at a time.

The events of 1980 seem so momentous…there SHOULD be a movie made out of it. I find reading these things faith inspiring. I feel nostalgic and I wasn't even there.
I'd also like to see a no-holds-barred movie on Rutherford's life story…something called Millions Now Living Will Never Die. The Mormons have a broadway show about them, why not JWs?
