  worked in subscription department with sister knorr, we both collected odd names of people.. shook hands with freddie franz.

  i was awe struck.

  kind of like when i shook hands with michael dorn except for totally different reasons..

  i went to the beach once with a friend of mine and judah ben schroeder.. i was not attracted to him sexually.. i was not attracted to my friend sexually.. the water was warm.

  my friend's mother was there but is dead now.

  he married an english girl.

  I just finished reading a book by Meier called BLUE GENES and it is very enlighting on chemical imbalances in various people and deals with how to help people who threaten suicide, manic depression and various other related problems that arise.

  Contrary to what you might think or believe, most people in the world don't know too much about the JW's, often confusing them with Mormons or some other group. And, they also don't care much what they believe or do! There are a lot of 'nut case' groups of people and the Witnesses are just another example.

  Many Christian pastors don't worry at all about them and have no interest in talking about them, or exposing them. Just a lot of 'non-interest'!

  I'm kind of sick of them too, and don't think about them much anymore. I still help anyone who asks and wants help, but the rest, leave them to their misery!

  Uniformed, I too was in the Chicago School where Dennis Trumbore was the instructor around the same time as you. I heard the same thing about him as you reported. Too bad if he stayed in as he seemed like a decent humble person.

  i don't mean this as an insult, more of a life experience thing.

  i saw a lot of people leave in my years there and a lot were angry with the religion and the people, and some even protested the kingdom halls and wrote things in the newspapers.

  a lot though, came back in time, as it was just the comfort zone they felt at ease in.

  i think he lives in ga somewhere,and i think he's in his eighties.

  Ray does indeed live West of Atlanta and recently was speaking in Germany. He feels pretty good for his age but has common ailments that affect any 80+ yr old person. But he is active and still does a fair amount of writing and has a lot of correspondence to always keep up with.

  What were you disfellowshipped for?

  i recently had a discussion with a witness friend (i'm a secret) and she claimed that witnesses only get disfellowshipped for being unrepentant for immoral acts.

  i am curious to know from those who have been disfellowshipped, what was it for?

  My Dad's story

  freedomlovers post about her dads letter got me thinking about my dad, in fact, it sounds like it could have been written by my dad.

  every once in a while it really hits me that he is no longer here to talk to.

  unlike most of you, i wouldnt have been afraid to approach him with questions or doubts.

  Nice story Deb. Well, let's see, You and my wife were born in the same year (52) and you both love art. And her name is the same as yours. Your aunt was Vera and my mother was Vera. I was connected to the glazing business for many years and now you are. I like my coffee black and I suppose you do too?
