this is a plea from a close friend of mine who is a 4th or 5th generation jw who left a few years ago due to the wt's corruption.
she lives next door to her mother and now another jw family related to her.
she is looking for any advice from any of you that has been in a similar situation, how you dealt with it, and her options.
Thats a tough one Randy. I think I would just sit down with her mother and have a good old 'heart to heart' and try not to be argumentive on any doctrine or subject, but just say she is having trouble with a few things. Also, be quite open with her feelings about the people living behind her and their hopes to inherit things when she is gone.
I have heard of other similiar situations in the past, and God seemed to mess up the plans of such 'greedy' ones, but that is not always the case. Have her pray about what route she should take, and maybe God will give her wisdom. That's what I would do.

i was born and raised a jw (and wrote the goodbye letter to the elders some 4-5 years ago), but i live in scandinavia.
that means i'm not at all familiar with all the english/us terminology and abbreviations that you use over there.
CO has been used in the past for 'Circuit Overseer', 'Congregation Overseer', Conscientious Objector, etc.

Do you think people not getting along, poster's differences, or war, or values, etc. are partially due to personality differences? Does God take personality into consideration of judgement on us?

i liked lyman swingle (governing body member)......he knew when to curse at the right time.
i think, thats why i went to him, when i was having so much trouble with debbie's parents.......he seemed "cool" and down to earth.............he might have been bit of a racist though.. one time a self righteous (known as sr) new boy, went to him and complained about what he heard in the bindery..........."brother swingle" the kid said "i heard some brothers cursing, in the bindery!
How did the 'sisters' at Bethel handle field service or commuting around New York City or didn't they have to attend congregations away from the home? Were they exposed to any dangerous situations?

but then i feel i want men too, but like, sometimes, i don't eat before a date... .
