hello,am new here and have questions .

i need to know what the topic of knowledge leads to life is really about and if anyone can tell me scriptures that would be helpful to refute this.

have been studying with them for quite awhile and have visited the hall a couple of times.

I can't give you scriptural support but please research this religion (cult IMO) before you get too involved.

Research the pedophile issues they have going on and how they deny them and don't handle them properly (BBC and Dateline programs). Also how they kick out members who goto the police with these issues.

Are all these people lying or are the Jehovah's Witnesses? Do I want to learn the "truth" from an organization like this (after veiwing the BBC and Dateline programs)? Only you can answer that.

I applaud you with using the internet to research this .org because you will see that they (not straight out) say the internet is evil and you shouldn't waste your time on it. Hmmmm I wonder why? I believe the Sept '99 Kindom Ministry had an insert on the internet. It shouldn't be hard to find.

What am I letting myself in for?

many of you know i'm in a marriage that sucks and i plan to leave.

i'm thinking of listing my reasons to a therapist, asking if they see any flaws in my reasoning, anything i seem to be glossing over, am i rationalizing, you get the idea.. if they see nothing wrong, i plan to start making phone calls to get a lawyer.

here's where those of you who are divorced, especially the guys, can help.. what extra stresses am i to prepare for?

BEFORE YOU SERVE THE PAPERS

Cancel the credit card - if you have credit left she can go spend it all you have to pay for half.

Freeze your checking account - put a hold on it - what ever. She can withdraw all the funds and leave you high and dry.

I know of someone that this happened to. Things can get real ugly. Talk to your lawyer and have everything ready BEFORE you let your wife know what's going on.

You are entitled to half as well. Who's name is the car/s in? You could be left without a vehicle.

NEED XMAS IDEAS FOR MEN

i have purchased my hubby every tool i think known to man, with the exception of one of those "saw table thingies".

i need some good ideas for a man who seems to own pretty much everything..... interesting "toy" ideas (i.e.

he has a metal detector) would be great too.. what gadgets would you men buy for yourselves if you could?.

Comming from someone who has everything they need or want materially (except a Lamborghini Murceilago but I'm working on that) I'll try to help you some.

My GF got me pagama bottoms because the CK ones I had had a major rip in them. They weren't CK but I love 'em and am even wearing them as I'm posting now. Tooth paste because I was out. A CD player because I was too lazy to go get one.

Ideas for a present?

Movie passes are always nice and cheap. A CD or DVD or a gift certificate to a place that sells them so he can pick out his own. Some lingerie with a note, "you can see me in this tonight". (might not want to open that one in front of the kids if you have any Colongne you like. A "Coupon" for his favorite dinner made by you. Subscription to PlayBoy (errmmmm, ok maybe that one isn't that good). FAO Schwarz has cool stuff. Satellite (Direct TV) service would blow him away if you don't have that.

My Dumb Ass JW Brother

as some of you know from my sharing portions of my story on this board before, i disassociated myself from the jehovah's witnesses in 2001. my family, including my mother, sister, and brother, remain jehovah's witnesses.

i have an extremely limited relationship with my mother and sister.

i possess no relationship whatsoever with my brother, his wife, and their now 1 yr old son.

My family also has NO PROBLEM asking my non-JW grandfather for money either.

Some people can't think rationally. Remember it's hard to talk to someone who has no brain.

I'd use your dad's employee discount and buy a new Mustang or something, and park it in front of his house with a sign that said,

You're a Dipshit

That is so sad that he's making his family suffer. Some people are too stupid and should not procreate. (not meant to offend). Then to tell his kids you're evil when you've helped him out financially......I hope the WT rots in jail and dies financially.

posting on wtlies thread i got to thinking about the shows i watched as a kid.

there were a couple that scared the &*^% out of me.

the old twilight zone where the little demon guy was on the airplane wing was really scary.
