Why are the Jehovah's Witnesses not allowed to carry a weapon (for protection) during field service?
by I_love_Jeff inif jesus allowed peter to carry a sword for protection, why are the jehovah's witnesses against carry a weapon during their "fun" door-to-door adventuring?
it seems jesus did not mind that peter carried a sword if we read luke 22:36-38. is it another case of picking and choosing what works for their man-made doctrine?.
is defending oneself a violent act, according to the jehovah's witnesses?

Is defending oneself a violent act, according to the Jehovah's Witnesses? Not to Jesus and Jehovah.
Are the Jehovah's Witnesses in disagreement with Jesus in regards to this topic?
Do they not follow the Bible to a tee?
"Deuteronomy 20 contains Yahweh's instructions about war. If a city does not accept Israel's offer of peace and open its gates, then "when the Lord your God delivers it into your hand, put to the sword all the men in it" (verse13). With regard to other cities, the command is (verse 16), "Do not leave anything that breathes.""
"....The Israelites destroyed with the sword every living thing in it - men and women, young and old, cattle, sheep, and donkeys" (Joshua 6:21). This certainly seems brutal and vindictive, doesn't it?
Or consider Joshua 11:20, "For it was the Lord himself who hardened their hearts to wage war against Israel, so that he might destroy them totally, exterminating them without mercy, as the Lord had commanded Moses."

*** Life Everlasting book pe chap. 22 p. 190 Identifying the True Religion ***ONE TRUE RELIGION
19 It is only logical that there would be one true religion. This is in harmony with the fact that the true God is a God, "not of disorder, but of peace." (1 Corinthians 14:33) The Bible says that actually there is only "one faith." (Ephesians 4:5) Who, then, are the ones who form the body of true worshipers today?
20 We do not hesitate to say that they are Jehovah's Witnesses.

Why do the Jehovah's Witnesses accept the authenticity of "The Book of Daniel" but not that of Enoch's?
by I_love_Jeff inaccording to the jehovah's witness book called insight vol.
"authenticity.
some critics question the authenticity of daniel, assuming the position taken by a third-century heathen philosopher and enemy of christianity, porphyry, who contended that the book of daniel was forged by a palestinian jew of the time of antiochus epiphanes.

Old Hippie,
I do understand that the topic has been discussed multiple times within their articles BUT they do not give any further information as to why one was accepted and the other was not even though they have the same prerequisites for being allowed in the Canon. The reasons why are quite similar for both but one was removed and the other was not.
According to the Insight Book Vol. 1 The Book of Daniel-INCLUDED based on the following prerequisites-1) Jesus mentioned his name 2) "Jewish Antiquities" 3) Dead Sea Scrolls.
The Book of Enoch-excluded for having the same prerequisites-1) mentioned by Jude in the New Testament 2 )Discussed in the Old Testament several times. Enoch was taken away like Elijah and did not see death. 3) Dead Sea Scrolls. 4) Mentioned in the Jewish Antiquities.
I read several articles last night and some scholars have noted that the Book of Enoch contained sexual content among the angels and mortals. In order to keep the peace with Constantine and his Crusaders, the Church Fathers refrained from including it in the Canon.
