Nice letter, I had came across it before and read it.

Those pictures. WOW. What a blast from the past. I knew quite a few of those guys. Correy S. actually was in my department for a few years, he is at Walkill now as far as I know. Our time at Bethel very slightly overlapped, so I can't say that I recognize you though.

former jehovah's witness servant dick borghi along with elders in the lowell, ma.

congregation were asked by the circuit overseer to vote on whether to disfellowship overweight brothers and sisters.. this was very troubling to dick for two reasons.. 1... brother borghi thought it would be the responsibility of the faithfull and discrete slave to lay out a precise directive on the basis for this unusual request.

what criteria would have to be met to make such an awkward decision?.

BotR - Yeah it was pretty tramatic. We literally had debris flying onto the roof we were standing on when we watched it. I remember every second of that day, it was so surreal. I still can't watch any footage on TV of those days; when it gets near the anniversary and there is gonna be lots of TV coverage I don't even watch the news much or any of the specials cause it messes with me. I'm sure there are lots of people with similar experiences though.

How big a fee does the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society get for booking Jehovah's Witnesses into Convention Hotels?

i know travel agents and on-line sites get a kickback or fee for booking hotels.

how much is this fee?.

Yeah I don't think they make money, I think they turn it all into free rooms. I got free rooms when I was in Bethel several times easily. Nothing special, no suites or anything, but hey it was clean and free.
