56MY ADVENTURE AT THE ASSEMBLY......
by Mary into start my day with: as i was walking down the street towards hell the assembly, i went to cross halfway across the road when a cheese and cracker brother told me that i should "cross at the light so that others can see that jehovah's people are law abiding citizens.
stick my lapel badge up his ass sideways make a good impression so i waited until he was distracted by other jaywalkers and then dashed across the road complied with his suggestion.
once in the building i managed to find a seat next to a guy who looked remarkably like fat bastard was a bit on the plump side.

If they do go door to door I would imagine they do so for their mother and not Jawh. The father is no longer travelling with the girls (since the divorce) so obviously they've taken Mom's side. I was always surprized that the Jackson Mom didn't get a divorce but maybe that's another generation???

It's just so sad to read that story about a young creative couple falling for WTBTS lines of deceit. It took me almost 20 years to see the borg line for what it is; the false line. If they don't have cable I assume they don't have an internet connection. Too bad really. I hope the non-dub parts of the family will be nice and patient and lovingly support them out of the cult.

Chemo begins today
by outnfree inso, i've been sitting at the computer all night long, not really panicked, but definitely disturbed at the thought of what the months to come will entail.. the port-a-cath was "installed" (surgically) on monday, and that was tough.
somehow the lumpectomy last month and even finding out that there was lymph node involvement was okay.
scary, but okay.

Brenda, I have a very good friend who's been through this treatment for cancer. She has been 3 years cancer free --- after all of the anxiety I was amazed how she came through it all. Science is so amazing.
So keep pushing those chemo cels moving on (telekinetically) and think of them smacking out those illegal cancer cels. I mean really, honestly; cells growing where they have no business AND causing trouble well death to them. That's what I think.

one might ask, if the teachings are bible based, how can they be subject to revision?
because the bible doesn't give explicit directives/commentary on every question of life we may encounter.

Truth in religion. Isn't that an oxymoron? Religion is not proveable. Truth as facts are mutable yet as theory proveable. There isn't any theory in religion, it's a belief system. That said, the rank and file dubs are allowing themselves (and that used to include me) to accept opinions and relative (to the GB) personal ideas as facts (or truth). Truth doesn't rely on any persons interpretation. Truth is facts not belief. The GB may believe that Jesus returned sometime in the 19th or 20th centuries; yet this is not proveable; JWs accept this concept or ideology as fact when it's just belief.
