I like a fella' with facial hair. Even slightly hirsute is fine. I guess I'm a throwback to the days of Lucy.

Governing Body Compromise Over Matters Of Personal Conscience
by hillary_step ini have it on very good authority that the governing body, under pressure from wts legal i might add, have agreed that matters pertaining to grooming and dress will not be dictated by wts corporate policy any longer but will be left to a persons conscience to decide.
at the annual general meeting, shortly to be held, the governing body will themselves set an organizational lead by appearing in in the grooming of their choice.
i was particularly impressed with theo jaracz new look ( fourth right, first row ).

by RAYZORBLADE infirst off: thanks to prudence for sending me this link:.
http://www.chihuly.com.
i have to admit, over the last few days/past week, there's nothing like a good link to unique and interesting artwork to help you, get 'through' a difficult moment.. mr. chihuly's glasswork, is incredible.. the more and more i would delve deeply into his website, i would become mesmerized by it.. the colours, the craftmanship, and 'chihuly' trademark, were simply 'brilliant'!.

Ray, I saw his recent exhibit last month In SanAntonio. I have loved his work for years and to actually stand there and see it was wonderful. I also took my GirlScout troop and they loved the art too. His designs are great. They also showed a film about his months travelling to various glass factories. It was fantastic.
I have collected murano glass for several years. Murano is an island just off Venice. That's where he got that fluid design theme going. He still adores Venice and did a fabulous outdoor exhibit there.

They're turning up the heat
by Winston Smith :>D inwell, after four elder meetings at 2 hours a pop, they sill want to get together with me.
the last meeting i told them to give me scriptural backing that disproves that the 70 years ended when babylon fell as spoken of at jer 25: 10,11. i also asked for scriptures to prove why they insist on 607 rather than 587 as the fall of jerusalem.
they said they would do that and get back to me.

Winston, I know there is no way to reason with someone who chooses to remain blind. I'm wondering ...How about a book written by a worldly scholar. Elaine Pagel's Beyond Belief is on the NYT Best Seller list and there are some excellent arguments in there, even some stuff she'll agree with too. She writes about the Nag-Haamadi scrolls which date from the 1st century. A book like that cannot be objectionable. The WTS may even have quaoted from her earlier works. Get it from the library so she won't throw it away. And leave it at home during the day, study it at night with your Bible, or borrow the Josephus book from someone and compare the historical stuff.
After leaving I began to read more about the 1st century congregation, and it was nothing like what we'd been told. I was so amazed that the GB would so blatantly re-write history to suit them. I was angry and then sad. Sad because there were so many like me who believed whole heartedly the WTS literature.
Something that bothers me is that Mrs.WInston said she only stayed married to you because of the "truth." That doesn't sound to me like she loves you like you love her. I would ask her about that statement. "what did you mean honey when you said I'm married to you because of the truth?" That would've hurt me to the bone if my husband said that. It was a crass and mean spirited remark, and if true did she lie to you when you got married? Did she marry you just to get out of the house? I'd really jump on that remark of hers and not let go until some explanation comes out.
I know, bring home dinner for yourself and tell Mrs.Winston that the only reason you ever ate her cooking was because of the truth!
We're all with you buddy, Panda

Run, Sir Clark, Run...
by teejay inif he runs, he will be the most qualified of all those who now aspire to the office in 2004. if he runs, general wesley k. clark (ret.
) will be the second most qualified person to ever seek the presidency of the u.s. over the past 100 years, second only to the great william jefferson cliinton.
what follows are excerpts from an article about him in a recent esquire magazine.. he is a remarkable man with an unassailable integrity -- the kind of man that has all the little bushites shaking in their boots.

Dakota, Six ,TeeJay, I just finished reading about Clark on his web page. I remember seeing him as leader of NATO. There was something I wasn't sure about him and he wasn't running for President at the time. But what really got me ---
He's an investment banker

Are you a Bright?
by Abaddon inanother neologism... .
... just as the homosexual community took a term and used it for their own purposes, so that scientific designations and insulting words were derailed, so to a group of people believe that humanism/atheism et.al.
needs such a term.

Do you address people by their "religious" titles?
by happyout ineven though i have been out of the borg for over a decade, when i run into an older witness, i sometimes still slip and say brother or sister so and so.. i was married by a baptist minister, and my husband insists that i address him as reverend.
this tends to make me a tad uncomfortable, although i don't know why.. when i lost my daughter, the hospital chaplain came by, and i easily referred to him as father, and never thought twice about it.
i know there were a lot more important things on my mind, but i wondered about it later.. what about you?

CONFESSION: I never stopped using religious titles. My Uncle Father Bill was still Uncle Father Bill until he became Uncle Monsigneur Bill. A wonderful man. He put up w/ my JW crap, never acted superior to anyone. I wish he'd been alive when I left, he'd have been happy.

The Romans who molested young boys were pedophiles not homosexuals. Once again some folks need to be reminded.
Homosexuality is not an abnormality. There have been many studies as to why but so far the studies are on animals other than human. Now with the human genome project we are discovering many of the triggers for survival which are hardwired. Yes, homosexuality is hardwired. That's the facts.
Homosexuality is not a threat to heterosexual males virility.
In the new system all farmers will be gay. You'll see some new harvests of vegetables and terrific place settings at tables. ANd we'll all sing "Life everlasting at last."
