Hi Amazing,
Mea culpa :(
The reason for the inaccuracy in my post was that I skimmed yours. Apology proffered.
Thanks for the correction.

a tough question: to kill or not to kill?
this is a very tough question because there can be so many variables, so many views, so many things to consider, so many circumstances, so many beliefs.
do we kill as we do any of this?.

but whoever has this worlds means for supporting life and beholds his brother having need and yet shuts the door of his tender compassions upon him, in what way does the love of god remain in him?
little children, let us love, neither in word nor with the tongue, but in deed and truth.1 john 3:17-18 nwt .
you must love your neighbor as yourselfmatt 22:39 nwt.
Thanks Marvin for the info. It's a mistake to link the WTS with any charitable tendencies. It rings true and in line with the aloofness of the WTS. What a contrast with almost everyone else on the news . . .

greetings and felicitations,.
just a quick thought: would an atheist ever be a suicide hijacker/bomber?
i think not, because an atheist would not believe they would be in heaven/paradise, etc.
Hi all,
Have been 'away' (watching grandkidlets) and didn't babysit my thread. Sorry!
Good comments. i didn't have a really firm opinion on it and feel more enlightened as to Castro and some communist fanatics.
Pat
i saw this on the wol forum.. http://www.witnessesonline.com/cgi-bin/cgiwrap/witnessesonline/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=1&t=000162
NYT,
Wake up and smell the coffee! People do have questions, but NOT for JWs. People in general don't give a hoot what JWs think, and especially their version/interpretation of the Bible.
Only people who are naive and uneducated even listen.
Be honest, how many people listen to JWs at the doors? JWs are a pesky little group of fanatics in most people's opinions.

Hi Amazing,
I am not amenable to any 'commandments' from the Bible. There's as much if not more ruthless murdering in that book than in modern times.
As stated by JW72, religion can be the cause of war. To then frame retaliation in such a bad light as 'revenge' is irresponsible.
What do you suggest: that the U.S. waits in fear for another attack? Then, will it still be revenge? Your way leads to extinction.
Please don't drag the Bible into it with all its aggressive genocide.

Greetings and Felicitations,

Any thoughts?

wt has to give final witness when end comes.
(a heavy message of doom from jehavhs organization).
*** re 233-4 32 god's anger brought to a finish ***.
Thanks for that revolting piece of diatribe from the WT and Bible. Gave me a flashback, but I've repressed most of it.
Ugh.
Pat
chasson posted this in another thread, and i think it should be brought to the forefront.
thank you, chasson for showing us all this link.. typical society response to tragedy.
so three people got out and got to brooklyn.
Julien, Larc, Messenger, Bridgette, etc., my commendations for your patience with the likes of "theWiz, NYtelecom, etc.
IMHO, it's a given that the WTBS and its people are, as they freely admit, "no part of the world." So, of course, they would not join the likes of Red Cross and other organizations. They stand aloof and pray for 6 billion people to be destroyed.
So, how really affected can they be by the deaths of all those 'worldly' people? It's not even worth discussing, their record speaks for itself.
Pat
okay, i know (or want to believe) that not all jehovah's witnesses are this calloused.
at least i hope not.
there are some good, caring people, but here are some stark contrasts i've observed today that remind me of how glad i am that i'm not part of such an overall unloving group of people.
Bridgette, good points and I concur. StifflersSlayerLayerBrother (close?), that's a good way of putting it: JWs 'leech' off this.
I can just hear the wheels turning trying to turn this into a 'witness' (read recruiting opportunity). They don't really care, because isn't their god going to do much worse at the big A?

to uphold its position on banning certain blood transfusions, the watchtower society has taken liberties with written presentations from early scientists, the clergy and other authors.
one that stands out is alexander pirie.
this blessing is very important, deut.
Hi Hawkaw,
Incredible work! But actually, I've only glanced at it. Will be printing it out tomorrow. Got Grandkids crawling all over me now!
Will comment more.
