When i was still in, i remember buying a computer and getting on America Online ( wow its' been a while).
Not knowing anything about computers, i didn't bother cleaning my tracks when visiting "evil" websites. Young elder came to visit my family and decided to say hi to me and look at my new toy.
Still not sure where he clicked but all of these porn links and pages came up. Huge awkward silent moment where he pretended he didn't see it and i wanted to crawl into a hole.

For Jehovah Witnesses, any mediocre advancement in the organization is looked at as if the wheel as been reinvented - even if it doesn't measure up against other projects outside of the Watchtower bubble.
A good example is the JW Library app that just came out. I'm in the mobile development business and believe me when i tell you that the app is a joke when compared with what's out there.
Still for JWs, and after reading the reaction to it by the witnesses espeically on social media, you would think that Jehovah and the angels themselves had just designed the most advanced IPAD app in the history of mankind.
my husband just gave me the latest km the novermber 2013 and it yet again has a question box on head coverings.. question box "should a female publisher wear a head covering if she is accompanied by a male pubisher at a doorstep bible study?".
it says "when a female publisher conducts a reagular, scheduled bible study and a male kingdom publisher is present, she should wear a head covering.
(1 cor 11: 3-10) the july 15 2002, issue of the watchtower page 27, explains: "this is a prearranged session of teaching where the one conducting the the study actually presides.
So you have to take the wig off, show your scalp, then put the wig back on so as not to stumble the householder? Um...
Now that i think about it, shouldn't that qualify as a head covering? It's not part of your body and it covers your head. I think we have a loop hole there.

The collapse is required to aid the transition in financial means first into the "new economic" system of power.
I have hoped for years that this collapse would not happen in my lifetime, since it will be a turbulent period of time, but i now believe that i will not escape it, since i'm reasonably young.
American society has become so decadent and so dependent on service and financial providers, that any interruption in basic services or the inability to buy them will inevitably result in mass chaos, and the total collapse of the fiber of our people.If you live in big city in the United States and you don't have a contingency plan to become somewhat self sufficient away from the big centers, you will inevitably suffer during these trouble years.
Any turbulent period of time will obviously serve the Watchtower society well, so we can expect a surge for them and a revival for them whenever this happens, but it is important to remember that the collapse of a super power is not something new and is normal in global societal and financial dynamics. EVERYTHING has a life cycle.

And I repeat for Stand for Pure Worship. Please explain the process of the GB communicating to us from Jehovah that the end will come before the generation that saw 1914 passes away, and that not end up being true. Please explain why Jehovah communicated that to them? Did he lie?
I believe at this very moment, God is taking a college class on how to relay simple and straighfoward information to a group of men. It seems the best he has been able to do is to provide erroneous and misleading information continuously, using the excuse that it takes years to finally clears things up.
You can't make this stuff up!!
I mean, any other leader - even human- who could not figure out a system to cascade information down an organization in an expedited manner would be summarily dismissed. Still, JWs continue to believe that the creator of the entire universe is not able to send messages to a group of men in a fast and clear manner.

This is true. What is implied is not his reign overall which started much earlier, but his reign over babylon and of Judah which started around 539 BC.
Once the decree was given for the Jews to be allowed to return they did so, over a period of time and i think is what allows to move the date of the end of exile up or down slightly.

While it's true that we don't know who Jehovah was using during the 14th century, it's also true that we don't know whether Job the greatest of the Orientals of his time had any contemporaries. So who and where was God's Organization during certain periods of time is really not an important question.
Priceless. Must be the good ol' Watchtower logic. Basically what he is saying is this:
We know that the Watchtower organization is God's organization because God has always used an organization. Now, we have no idea who the organization was, prior to ours, and that is not important at all. What's important is to know that the Watchtower society is the true organization because evidence shows that God always used an organization.

True. Ok so this how it went:
CT Russell and Barbour started with a date of the first year of Cyrus's reign, which is 536 BC - Cyrus allows Jews to return home ( this is historical stuff which can be proven.) . Now the bullsh!t starts - from this date, they figured that it was the end of the 70 years of desolation of Jerusalem. So they count back 70 years to 606 bc. The rest you already know...
So they never knew when Jerusalem was destroyed, they simply imagined a date for the end of the 70 years of desolation, and from that date, made up all of the other dates including 1914.
