I know this is not broken down by country/region, but i suspect that if it was broken down that way, we would see different results. Nevertheless it's interesting to see how for example, the number of baptisms are going up, though I doubt it's in the West, since on any given assembly, there is only a handful of suckers.

JW Statistical Charts - 2011-2019
by Jehalapeno injust made a few charts using data from 2011-2019. interesting stuff.
definitely not the charts you would associate with an organization experiencing healthy growth.
the most interesting trend, in my opinion, is congregations.. .

I've read an awful lot of authoritative books on the modern history of the Middle East Redvip. Saudi did not do 9/11.
I was drawing a connection between Saudi Arabia and ISIS, which exists. I was not making one with 9/11 which is a lot more tenuous.

Jesus said Truly I tell you This Day...
by JohnTron72 inadam was told not to eat from the tree of knowledge for upon the very day of eating from it, he would die.
i had someone say that god lied because, adam didn't die that day but, the scriptures say to god a day is as a thousand years so, since adam lived 900+ years after eating , he indeed died within god's view of a day.
methuselah the oldest to ever live 969 years still within god's set time of a day.

So the hardest thing to square off is the concoction about what constitutes a day? How about the fact that the fairy tale book is asserting that people lived 900+ years?
Right, 900+ years at at time when people didn't even know they had to wash their hands after shitting.

If we want to do some real good in the middle east, the west must completely abandon all fossil fuels and remove its military presence.
I could not have said it better. After all, once that hell hole loses its appeal to the west because of oil, we can finally leave those people to their own devices. Eventually they too will evolve into enlightenment and hopefully start living 2020 lives. For now, they are stuck in the middle ages.

confused with nowhere to turn
by Rebecca ini'm 43 and a divorced mother of 2. in january 2019 i met the man i thought i could spend the rest of my life with.
we were happy and even though our relationship wasn't perfect (like all relationships) i thought we had a chance and were building a life together with our young kids.
background on me - i've been divorced since 2012 after 12 years of marriage.

I'm so confused, why would God take him away from us?
The good news is.. he didn't do that. And he also didn't feed, clothe or treat any of the hungry and sick, or homeless either. He doesn't exist.
Now, could it be your bf is using his new-found moral ground as an excuse to end things? As shocking as it might seem, men go to great lengths to dream up excuses to end relationships in order to move to other things.

Anybody that analyses the root ideology of ISIS say, and thinks that it has nothing to do with Saudi Arabia is either blind, or didn't take the time to do research.

We invaded Iraq instead of Saudi Arabia where the hijackers came from. All we needed was an excuse
Not only that, since there really wasn't a clear link between 9/11 and Iraq, the Bush administration simply made an excuse (WMDs) to invade.
9/11 simply fell on Bush's lap at a time where he really wanted to invade Iraq anyway for financial reasons
Regardless of those mistakes, we long for Bush now, when you compare him with the orange agent.

The sky is falling- maybe
by joey jojo ini am actually not a 'sky is falling' guy, but i wanted to comment on the australian bushfires.. you may or may not believe the science behind global warming, however i personally put more faith in verified, scientific data than the words of fat cat, self-serving politicians.
climate science has predicted, based on data, that we will see more prolonged, extreme weather events, higher average temperatures, rising sea levels due to ocean expansion and glacial melting.
and this is exactly whats happening.

Btw, there is no better way to see how this denial of climate change is nothing more than an idiotic American political ideology, than to simply travel abroad to different places like I have recently.
You can walk into any room of people in other countries, where they are not partial to American political affiliation, and you quickly realize they only care about facts.
You know, facts. Facts like how greenhouse gases trap heat. Or how carbon dioxide is a green house gas, or how it's a fact that carbon emissions have been going up by orders of magnitude, and how humans are responsible for those emissions.
Once you get rid of the political sheep-like affiliation, even a toddler can understand basic facts.

The universe won't blink an eye, and things will go on. Mankind, even one whole planet, isn't really that important on a universal scale.
I would add that we are not even that important for the earth -- on the contrary. The earth would be much better off if we didn't exist. Dare I say that perhaps we might be working towards exactly that.
We have been terrible stewards of this planet. The industrial revolution, for all the great things that it brought us to make our lives so much better, it also put us on the fast lane towards the precipice.
How do you unwind decades of making financial gain the center of practically every decision that is made? I don't think you can.
