Well the CO is a moron. When a group marches for a cause, it's because they are not tolerant of whatever situation they are faced with. Otherwise, they would just say "Ah fuck it, it's ok"
The other group will then oppose them, because they are intolerant of them.

there were also periods of sluggish growth during the 1950/60s and around 2000. .
I think most of the jokehovian numbers are also bogus. Unlike the mor[m]ons, they do not have systemic doctoring of the numbers.
Yeah it's a good point, because the reality is that JWs are determined to be viewed as the best, unique, approved, yadda yadda. They completely massage the numbers. Also because they are smaller, any small uptick translates into a bigger percentage.
I think most other religions are not as obsessed with that.

I know this is not broken down by country/region, but i suspect that if it was broken down that way, we would see different results. Nevertheless it's interesting to see how for example, the number of baptisms are going up, though I doubt it's in the West, since on any given assembly, there is only a handful of suckers.
