I was appalled at how anybody could run out of the house with hair looking like that.

How Many Masks Will You Wear?
by minimus inthere are recommendations that we should start doubling up on masks.
some have even suggested that tripling masks would even be better!
what’s your opinion of wearing numerous masks?
-

Masks do work in situations where people are breathing on each other, but they have now become some sort of weird symbol of the Covid orthodoxy. I even see people alone in a car with masks, people walking in a park with masks. It's all theater.
I was watching a soccer game today. They make each team enter the field separately and line up with 6ft between players. Also bench players sit several seats from each other with masks. Then the game starts and there are 22 players grabbing each other all over the field. All safety theater, the kind that until now you only saw at the airports with the TSA nazis.

the GB has just cancelled the next two years
by neat blue dog ineven some democrats are advocating for reopening society, and are at least hoping for some point in 2021, but the governing body just announced that they're canceling the assemblies in 2022 as well, aiming to restart in 2023. .
they're really milking this 'pandemic', because as soon as things go back to normal that sense of urgency will start to die again, and publisher counts / meeting attendance will go down as well.
i wonder how many jws are suffering form (additional) depression from this as well, because with meetings, assemblies and conventions at least you could see and meet new people, as well as socialize.

evidently Jellohoba does not have enough power to prevent people to get contaminated at the assemblies. Imagine a god that actually exists seeing this as a good opportunity to show that at the gatherings of his true religion he ensures nobody gets sick.

The Cancel Culture Is Alive And Well
by minimus inif you don’t support certain ideas or beliefs, you may find yourself on the losing end in business, money matters, and community.
curt schilling, a former red sox player who is conservative today reported how his insurance company suddenly dropped him even though he was an excellent consumer with them because of his “ views”.
he was marked by those in charge and evidently was told by the rep he knew that they didn’t like his political views.

Modern wars are not fought on the battlefield. They are fought with controlling minds. The media is controlled by a select group of people who have infiltrated most media companies. The narrative is tailored and distributed and the media spews in unison, sometimes down to the exact verbiage across media outlets.
The Chinese have both hands and feet in our country. They are paying everything and everybody to slowly pull the strings and dominate us. From universities to the media, to politicians, think tanks, they are funding everything under the sun and getting people on their payroll.
Even Biden is compromised by the Chinese along with his son. You really think the Chinese can't blackmail Biden with the threat of releasing info about this corruption scheme with Chinese companies? They can, and certainly will.

It would have been so easy for Trump to win another term, or at least not leave at the lowest point of this presidency.
The man simply cannot save himself...from himself. I voted for him, because I favor his policies, but the amount of stupid shit he says is his downfall. He already had the votes of half the country locked in because of his policies. Now if he could only shut his trap, he would get enough votes from centrists and people just left of center, to comfortably put over the threshold.

The problem with Capitalism!---Billionaires
by pistolpete inas imperfect and flawed capitalism is, it has worked better than other forms of economic and political systems-so far.
it’s very simple in “theory.” capitalism is an economic and-or, political system in which a country's trade and industry are controlled by private owners for profit, rather than by the state.
in other words, keep government out of it as much as possible.

How bizarre to hear people claiming there’s nothing wrong with multi billionaire Bezos propheteering while his workers struggle to make ends meet in his coronavirus factory warehouses.
Amazon was rated #2 place to work in 2017. 401k after first day of hire, discounts on purchases, vision and dental, stock options. You are making an assertion that Amazon workers are not making ends meet without evidence. People that work at the local pizzeria also might not be making ends meet.
Even the super rich are talking now about a universal basic income.
Sure but that's because the world is moving in a direction where machines might be taking over most jobs in the future, including driving. If driving jobs go away, that alone will create a situation that is not bearable without free money.

Bezos is worth $185B, sure but he doesn't have $185B in the bank,
Right and it's an important fact. It's not like Bezos is hoarding money in a warehouse like uncle Scrooge swimming in it.
That net worth is in value, not currency. Much of that value is basically companies that provide jobs and contribute to the economy.
Nobody should be upset that he has that amount of money. If anything, what is unfair is that many billionaires have a battalion of accountants making sure they pay nothing in taxes. But again, that's not his fault, it's due to the ridiculous tax code we have.

Equality of opportunity is essential but we must have unequal outcomes.
It's not that we have to have unequal outcomes, but they are simply a natural product of having a system that rewards people differently. And that is fine.
But even equal opportunity is not really equal. What that means is that from a policy perspective, the rules should be the same across the board for everybody. But this does not make opportunity equal for everybody. Joe Biden's son was given immense opportunity by the sheer luck of being born into his family. The same with Trump's kids. They didn't do anything to deserve that. It simply fell on their lap, and so did a world of opportunities that we don't have. But all we can do is to ensure that at a minimum the laws are the same of everybody.

Height of mountains before and after the flood .
by smiddy3 init was stated many years ago in answer to how did the flood cover the top of all the mountains on earth in noah`s day.?.
mount everest ?.
and it was explained away by saying that the mountains before the flood were a lot smaller / lower than the mountains that exist today.. so there was no problem .. when the deluge began with so much volume of water now covering the earth ( water being heavy ) pushed down into the weakest parts of the earth and raised up in other parts of the earth to where we now have higher mountains than existed before the flood of noah`s day.. in other words mount everest didn`t exist at its present height before the flood and neither did any other high mountain that exists today ,the topography all changed with the noachian flood.

What a great problem solver Jellohoba is.
Imagine that. Having to kill a few thousands humans, and deciding that the best way to do this, is to destroy 99.99% of all animals and plants in the world, by drowning the planet in water for months on end
Meanwhile Jellohoba has gzillions of angels sitting around scratching their nuts, while just one or two of them could kill those pesky humans and save the lives of all living things on earth.
Great job Jellohoba, you're so smart!

Democratic candidates benefit from large amounts of people voting, so by making it easy to vote with mail in ballots sealed the deal for Biden. Yet another way the pandemic caused Trump to lose.
