all immigrants don't have to take the vaccine or be tested.. terrorists from countries that hate america are entering the country.. guns are disappearing from the local stores, everyone is buying them out.

But you won't, because pretending to be virtuous and accepting makes you feel warm and fuzzy as long as it's someone else's problem. You see, people that are in favor of illegal uncontrolled immigration should be somehow forced to actually put some skin in the game. Open you house to a few illegals, contribute directly from your salary to a fund to house and feed them and actually see that amount evaporate every month.

It's amazing when people try to boast their goodness as long as it doesn't really concern them.

Get Vaccinated or Get laid Off

i’m personally for the vaccine, took two shots and would take a third if asked.

but i know a friend of mine that doesn’t want to take the vaccine who works for the government and now is faced with this choice: get vaccinated or get laid off.

i don’t agree with this measure as it is totalitarian and runs against my core belief in individual freedom.. now, with that being said, what i don’t understand is that my friend still won’t get vaccinated.

Even if they mandate it, many people will just claim they took it when they didn't.

At my company it is required. How do you prove it? Well login to this portal, you are presented with a question that says "Please confirm you are vaccinated". Click yes, SUBMIT.

Done. It's as secure as the elections.

If you think Watchtower is disappearing any time soon…

you are sadly mistaken.. i hear people say it on here all the time, and dare i say his name *cough* lloyd evans *cough* has said it a number of times, that watchtower is running scared and watchtower is in decline….. we need to put in perspective the decrease from the 2020 report.

if we calculate a yearly -0.6 decrease over a 10 year period from 2020 figures it leaves us the grand total number of witnesses of:.

by 2030: - 7,933,479. by 2040: - 7,471,357. by 2050: - 7,036,154. i agree that this is a significant decrease, but let’s not kid ourselves, the wt organisation will still be alive and well even with an annual 0.6% loss.

We need to put in perspective the decrease from the 2020 report. It was 0.6%

Here is the thing. First the decline depends on the children of existing Jdubs, because the only people getting baptized are the kids. Now, we know that more and more kids are opting not to join, so we know that over a longer period of time, the decline will accentuate -- no doubt about it.

Another thing is that unfortunately we have to rely on the Org's numbers to see this, and we know the Org hates showing anything negative. So if the numbers show 0.6% decline, this likely means a lot more considering the creative numbers massaging that the Org does. If the numbers become too bad, I suspect the Org will stop reporting altogether under some BS reason.

I suspect the Zoom thing is bad for the Org. The social connection is the one thing holding the house of cards together and given enough time, Zoom won't cut it anymore. The Org will need to resume in person meetings and if they don't, this will spell disaster for them.

a god that has supposed to have created the visible universe and everything in it ?.

some points where i would challenge that from an earthlings point of view using the bible if only in paraphrase.. doesn`t god create everything perfect ?

How about the wonderful nugget of the bible where god tells its armies that they should kill every man, woman, child and animal from a conquered village, but that the virgin girls could be spared and taken alive.

i’m an atheist.. let’s assume i am wrong, i am willing to be.. let’s give people a god, let’s even make him the god of the bible…... does he deserve to be worshipped and obeyed?

if so, why does his abhorrent actions not morally make you question allegiance to him?.

does his authority alone allow him to murder and drown and order war, to throw people into a lake of fire?.

Rules for the Creator and for us are different. He created everything and everything belongs to him. We are organisms in a petri dish. The scientist use, discard or experiment to his heart's content. Then he gets rid of it.

yeah but scientists don't use thinking human beings in his experiments. That would be considered criminal.

So if Jellohoba is using humans for an experiment, then he is a monster with no ethical concerns.

Just accept the fact that there is no god. Or if there is, he doesn't give a shit at all.

so my jw father is sick.

my mother uses the opportunity to try and preach to my 16 year old daughter.

i simply told my mother to: "please refrain from trying to lure *my daughter* in with jehovah's witness questioning.

Perhaps it doesn't work for everybody, but in my case I keep challenging my mother with facts. My mother is exactly this type as well, perhaps not as combative.

One of the last times she tried to preach to me, I simply told her that according to the Org, the world governments will shut down organized religion and then eventually come after Jdubs. I told her that for this to happen we will need to see freedom of religion be abolished, change in constitutions in many different countries. And that once that happens, at least we'll know the Org will be right about something and I'll consider coming back. Now, of course none of that will happen.

So now, when she tries to preach I simply point to that. That I'm still waiting for this to happen, and this has been effective in pushing back and shutting it down. In her mind, she probably reluctantly admits that those things do need to happen first and they are not happening.

i think it is very strong evidence that no personal god/god exits, especially a benevolent god who wants humans to know him him/her/it, to obey him/her/it, and/or to love him/her/it.

since no god/god communicates to us (including those who sincerely want communication with the/a god/god), wouldn't it be sensible for those who pray to what they believe is the/a god/god to cease all efforts to communicate to a god/god?

Not really. If can also mean he doens't give a shit about us. In either case, why should we can about a god that either doesn't exist, or doesn't care to do a single helpful thing to help anybody ever?

you have probably heard all kinds of excuses why god doesn’t communicates with his creation or why he doesn’t intervene.. some examples.. no one can see god because he is a spirit.. but we can hear god---yet he chooses not to talk to humanity.. god only communicates with certain people.

but there are many people today who also claim that god spoke to them yet we ignore them but believe god spoke to people who lived thousands of years ago and we can’t really verify if that was so.

So if we’re going to ask, “why doesn’t God communicate with us”, you first need to explain why you claim that God doesn’t communicate with humans when a significant number of people do experience communication with God.

The claim that God doesn't communicate with humans is based on the fact that there is no evidence whatsoever. And no, just because some people think that they hear a voice from God, doesn't mean it's true.

You know, somehow when God supposedly speaks to humans he never says anything that will blow our minds. Somehow he can never speak to a scientist to give a cure for cancer. Nope, it's all trivial shit, that somehow is rattling around in people's minds already.

C T Russell's pyramid monument gets taken away by the WTS.

just recently the stone pyramid monument at c t russell's grave site was taken away by the wts.. six screens of the watchtower did a public discussion about the removal which may be still on that web site, that's where i heard about it.. it had been recently vandalized such the top head piece was removed and the carved christian cross on the monument was chiseled off.. since the wts owns that grave site, they have the right to do whatever they want to do with it.. my guess is that they will never put it back or redo the damage.. i think they will put it away in a obscure place and cover it, locked up somewhere.. the wts.

has never been proud or willingly open about that monument for obvious reasons such as being associated in false religion, which they claim they are not and they admonish other christian faiths are.. your thoughts ?

It's just so obvious that it was someone associated with the Jdubs that damaged it. Perhaps even the Org itself. They probably wanted to remove the embarrassing pyramid but wanted to excuse to do it.

i’m in no position to leave the organisation, maybe some people will see that as weak or whatever, but we have to all go down our own path in life.. i would like to be able to wake people up in my congregation, how do you think best to do this?

any ideas?.

She knows there are problems in the WT : pedophiles, money, manipulation .. but she always says "Jehovah will clean congregation at time" ...

Right... and btw, he will also heal the sick and feed the hungry...in time. And all the crime and injustice? yeah...in time.

For now, he has his hands full. He is too busy with....well..huhh nothing. He is doing absolutely nothing now, but it seems he will always do something in the future.

And by the way, what's preventing other religions from saying the same thing? If JWs point out wrongs in other religions why can't they also say...."well God will fix it in time."
