I read in numerous articles that the key to gaining weight is the amount of protein that you eat.
If you just stick to foods rich in fat, you'll gain the weight in the wrong places.
You need to eat at least 1 gram of protein per body weight and start a small excersice routine that includes weights.
You dont want to hit the treadmill or anything like that because you'll wind up burning the fat that you eat causing more weight loss.
Eat foods rich in protien e.g. tuna fish, chicken breast, peanut butter, red meats etc. (I had a friend who use to eat 3 peanut butter sanwiches before bed everyday!!)
Then start working maybe your legs (being that they contain the biggest muscles. You can do squats, leg presses anything that will work the muscles and get the protein working.
Dont overdo your workout either. Use a weight that will challenge your muscles and do maybe 3 sets of 4 or 5 reps..thats it. 2 or 3 times a week. The weights have to make an impact on you central nervous system (you'll know because you'll start shaking).
If you do constant reps at a weight that doesnt challenge your muscles it will be counterproductive and you will loose weight.
Once you get started it wont be that hard. You should can have 10 pounds in as little as 2 months.
But remember the diet is the key.

Gumby, I guess it depends what part of the 'hood your from. If you're use to "proper" things and proper etiquette then I guess you can be embarrassed because you had you kid at 11. Im pretty sure that at 30 this kid will have gotten over having her kid so early...she will love her and wont be "embarrased" of her. Most mom's usually arent.
Around my part of town girls are having babies at 13, 14, 15,and 16.
My Mother had my sister when she was 15. Go ask her if she feels embarrased. Quite the contrary my friend, she loves all the complements she gets when people find out she had 3 kids before her 20th birthday and now she looks as good as ever at 51.
Im 30 and my daughter is 11. Works for me. I only wish I had at least 2 .....but guess what?
Im still young!!

While it is sad and tragic for any girl of 11 to be having a baby , let alone having sex......look at it this way:
When she's 31 her kid will be 20 and hopefully best buds. Not everyone can have that.
People will think their brother/sister.

Life on other planets?
by freedom96 inas jw's, we were taught that there is no way that there is life anywhere but here on earth.. i personally never bought into that completely.
there are billions and billions of solar systems out there.
i do believe that absolutely there is life on other planets.

The D.C. area sniper
by Bendrr inon my lunch break today i was eating at fuddruckers and watching cnn (wish they'd put on fox news instead) and see another sniper shooting in virginia.. well i got to thinking.
could this be terrorist activity?
could it be an al-qaeda terrorist cell?

The terrorist involved with the Al-queda movement and any other organization praise "Allah" and give him all the glory.
With that in mind it's hardly probable that the D.C. sniper is part of any "cell" due to the letter he left behind stating to the Police that he is God.
This would be considered blasphemy for that culture; not to mention everyones else.
He would not get to reside with Allah for all eternity when he dies if he goes around saying that he IS God.

According to scientists and archeologists, there is heaps of evidence around the world that show civilizations flourishing on or about the same time the "global" flood took place.
Particularly, the Mayan civilization.
Although I am not a scholar-far from it- it is unreasonable to deny these facts and finds. We can all sit here and say that every find that archeoligists make is tainted by anti-Jw apostates, but that would be rediculous even for the most well intentioned Jdub.
The flood was local; remember these Nephilim (if this is what you believe in) were in a particulararea. Unless they beat Columbus to the "New World" there would be no need to flood the entire globe.
It would be like using 12 cans of roach spray on a single baby roach. Is your God that ilogical?

I just saw a special on the Discovery channel 2 weeks or so ago about the flood and the Ark.
The scientist analyzing all the evidence came to the conclusion that there was a flood but that it came from the red sea spilling over.
They took mini-subs under the sea and disvovered that there were roads and evidence of towns and villages. They also found the place where the sea would have overflowed and why.
The conclusion was that the writer of the passage in the bible knew only his area; he had not traveled the "world" so when he said there was a worldwide flood, to him that was true because his village WAS the world.
It was a very interesting documentary..too bad I didnt take notes.
