I am going to have Acupuncture for my depression - anyone done this??
by hamsterbait ini spent a fortune on transactional analysis in the early 90's.
dont regret one penny of it.. i have had a paralysing depression now for about two years.
i cant write, dont enjoy my job anymore, and uninterested generally.recently i have even started saying "jehovah let me die" as i get into bed.. i considered going down the counselling route.

More anti-apostate rhetoric from the Watchtower - are they running scared?
by cedars inyes, the may 15th watchtower is now available for download from jw.org.. the final study article, on page 26, directs another salvo at apostates - and warns witnesses not to try arguing with them on the internet:.
indeed, we ought to move as far away from wrongdoing as possible and not see how close we can get to it without being overcome by sin.
for instance, we need to guard against succumbing to apostasy, a sin that would make us unfit to glorify god.

Best thing to do is just ignore the whole lot and do your own thing..... think what you want... do what you want.. and don't care what anyone else says or does...
if you still believe God and Christ, do what they want.. if you don't then do what you want... take no notice of what anyone else says...

For me it was the 'overlapping generation'.. followed by 607.. followed by 1914.. followed by 1919 and the FDS.. followed GB worship.. and like Cedars said, the rest just comes tumbling down...

jwfacts.com
by allyouneedislove ini had a few comments to make regarding paul grundy's jwfact.com website.
these comments are in no way meant to defend jws, but only to point out illogical statements.
i have actually found his website to be quite informative.. .

The problem with this is, those peope believed that if they bought the party card they were against God. It wasn't a case of being disfellowshipped. Their eternal life was at stake! If you were told that you would be destroyed for eternity, that God would punish you for it and not forgive you.. and you believed it was true.. what would you do?

1914: Still Important to Watchtower in 2012

98 years later, the 1914 date is still important to the watchtower organization.. .
below is a screenshot of a portion of page 19 from the may 15, 2012 watchtower magazine.. .

Interesting point Yknot... I think that greed will come into it somewhere. All this property in Brooklyn being sold up and them getting involved with Hedge funds. What if they make some dodgy investments, in the financial climate atm it could all come crashing down and the whole lot finished overnight..then where will all the R&F be without their leaders, printing works etc...

Give Some Logical Points To Prove That JWs Do Not Have The Truth
by minimus inthe one thing that got to me was that this religion is illogical.
their "logic" is ridiculous, especially when it comes to their blood doctrine.
downright weird!.

Luke 21:8 'Many will come on the basis of my name saying 'I am he' and 'the due time has approached' (other versions 'the time is at hand').. do not go after them!'
One book was called 'The Time is at Hand'... another 'God's Kingdom of a Thousand Years has Approached'... and of course the endless warnings about how close the end is...

The gun is the SHUN: the JW's who no longer believe but cannot leave!
by Terry inthe insidious bind the watchtower religion places on their members is unconscionable.. holding family and friends "hostage" as an extortion strategy may be their most potent weapon of enforced conformity.. .
in effect, like an armed criminal who points a gun at you and threatens "your money or your life", the watchtower leadership.
holds the power to separate dissenting members from those whom they most cherish.

If I could get out without losing all my family and friends I love I'd do it tomorrow.
If I went I'd get all the 'how can you leave Jehovah? Where else is there?' I'd be viewed as an apostate... not because I no longer love God or Jesus or the Bible... but because I can no longer believe in a man made organisation full of false prophecy and hypocricy. To them I'd be a different person.
The alternative is keep my family and friends by keeping up a pretense. Sit at meetings and slowly die inside because I'm being untrue to myself.
What a choice!!

From Our Archives 5-15-2012
by breakfast of champions inthe article talks about the obstacles in getting the "millenial dawn" series of books into the hands of "seekers of truth," and how "coleporters" spread the word.. so, why is this important book which evidently carried a message of truth not available on the wt cd rom?
.
the whitewashing and misdirects in this series are propaganda genius.

I'm wondering if these articles were put in by an undercover 'apostate' on the writing team... stuff that is dredged up for the R&F to think about is going to make quite a few to question things and want to find out...
