When I see a computer programme it tells me it had intelligent design. To me the DNA is no different. I cannot believe there is no designer. But that is simply my opinion and the way I see it. No offense to anyone who sees it differently.

It was reading this on wikipedia that started me on my journey of discovery...I think it's valuable that it's there. If it hadn't been I would still be a fast asleep JW!

This good news of the kingdom will be preached ...
by biometrics inso some of my jw friends can't answer a lot of the questions i put to them.
invariably they end up with the comback line of "this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.
" and state that jws are the only ones doing the preaching.. i suspect most jws who've left have come across this.

Everywhere JWs have been christians have been there before them. For centuries there have been christian missionaries going to all corners of the earth.. including remotest parts of Africa, China, all across the US, pacific islands. Christianity is everywhere! JWs have their own brand of what they consider to be the Kingdom,so they think they are the only ones who have done this 'preaching work'.

New to the board
by jbeau504 ini'm new to this board and looking to see what it's all about.
i'm currently an unbaptized publisher and third-generation jw, so for obvious reasons i can't give my real name due to personal concerns.
so from now on people can refer to me as "jimmy".

Hi Jimmy, welcome. I think you'll find all sorts here! I don't think any two are the same in their ideas or beliefs. However what we all have in common are the feelings that things in the organisation are not right. The best thing to do is to read. We should all have two sides to look at and not just one. Without two sides we cannot come to an accurate decision, especially if the rest of our life is goig to be based on that decision.

Secret signal to find each other at District Convention
by RayPublisher inlast year this was brought up and it was a great idea but maybe a bit too late.
do you remember the "secret signal" that was going to be used?
it should not be mentioned in the main thread, only through email and pms.

New member
by Kool Jo ini've been lurking here since late last year...was very hesitant to join the forum because of fear that satan would control my pc.... .
i'm born in, but always had my little doubts about "the truth" since i was young, but went ahead and got baptized ect.... .
i stumbled upon this site while looking for a km and initially thought it was a jw forum, but after seeing some of the titles of various threads, i thought to myself "i'm on an apostate website".

Welcome Kool Jo. I'm a born-in, still-in but 'mentally out'. Same reasons as you, family ties etc. Have you looked at jwfacts website? It's excellent and I found great to read after I'd finished CoC. In Search of Christian Freedom also by Ray Franz is good. Once you've done all that it's impossible to go back to it all. It's a real opening of Pandora's Box isn't it?!

Hi independentthinker. Please don't be scared. But don't rush anything. I found out the things you have recently and I'm a born-in in my 50's! It's very frightening at first and you don't know what to think, feel or do. Just take it slowly, don't talk to anyone just yet (except maybe here). Read as much as you can but not so much that it overwhelms you. It's a difficult place to be and as I've found there's no going back to 'not knowing'. It's like opening a Pandora's box. We've all been there in one way or another. Just take it slow!!
