Prognoser, I'm still looking at everything from all angles but I would say I'm a futurist but definitely moving away from JW ideas and towards a more mainstream christian thought. Definitely not into the 1914 invisible presence etc.
What about you?
i've been reading around this subject of late and it seems to make a lot of sense.
i'm wondering if anyone is convinced and/or has seen anything that can substantiate or corroborate the 'facts' set out in these arguments.. http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/bloodlines/russell.htm.

Thing for me is that I'm still a believer in God, the Bible and prophecy. I can't ever be moved from that ever, it's a non starter. When what I see happening matches up with bible prophecy then I want to know more. If this religion that I belong to (atm) is getting it all wrong and leading me down a false path then I want to know it. These 'conspiracy theories' answer a lot of questions for me.

There is a saying 'there's no smoke without fire' and when lots of things stack up you have to ask questions. It's what we did with all the stuff we were taught as JWs. When one thing 'feels' wrong or is illogical, it's sets off alarm bells in the head and other things follow, one after another. A theory maybe all that it is but it's not a bad idea to be aware of things happening.
His apple was more tempting than his Eve.. ;)

Sorry for causing an argument here guys! Thanks for the back up Prognoser and I take your point Bohm. At the moment I'm just discovering a lot of stuff myself on the subject and trying to sift out what is true and what isn't but I must say it's a very eye opening subject and I don't think you can just discount it all as rubbish.
Btw guys.. I'm a gal.. LOL ;D

What I found was that he was alleged to have said it. The quote was supposed to have come from a book called Wealth for All by R E McMaster. Whether that is true or not I don't know. Sorry.

I found this quite interesting, that President George Washington recognised that the illuminati existed. Why would anyone think that it has gone away?

Not sure you could argue against his real thoughts, even if this quote has not been found in other sources.
as a born in, or in at a very young age, what were your worst memories as a young jw child?.
i remember not being allowed to go to sleep in the meetings when i was tired.
not being allowed to do lots of things at school other kids could do.

I remember not being allowed to go to sleep in the meetings when I was tired. Not being allowed to do lots of things at school other kids could do. Never ending 5 day assemblies. Miserable family studies where we always copped it if we got something wrong. (Thankfully these were sporadic). Going on FS when it was bitterly cold and then getting chilblains from it.
I know from things I've read I had it relatively easy. So what are your memories?
