How do I handle this situation?

hey everyone.

i'm sorry that this isn't a very thought provoking post but i could really use some advice on how to handle this.

there isn't anyone else in my life i can ask right now because, being dfed, all of my friends are "worldly" and don't know how witnesses function.

Hi, I don't have much advice but only what I went thru. ...when I was df'ed my ex husband was getting information of my "spiritual" status from people he knew from the congregation I was going to while being DF, I moved out of the congregation we went together. ... so during this time my ex was being aggressive with me went I would pick up my son, he would take my car keys & demand to speak with me, he would know when I miss mtgs, get their late, etc, this created alot of violent behavior on his part, he wanted to know what I was doing, who I was hanging out with, etc, we were separated leading to divorce... he was spying on me at my home... his aggressive behavior was getting out of line, went to my elders in my congregation if they can help me to his elders to talk to him &tell him to back off from me & the only communication should be about our son.... Elders response: " we can't do anything or help you because your not part of the congregation because your DF"

So don't expect any help from them honestly, especially if you are a woman who committed adultery, if you were a man you would get more mercy but not as a woman since in their "Men" minds they view it as " well those are the consequences of your actions"... do what The searcher said, move congregations you have a better chance being reinstated sooner from a different congregation that haven't "judge" you & don't know much abt you, they will push ur old congregation for reinstatement especially if you play your cards right & do the "right" things, as soon as you move to new cong, first meeting talk to an elder & say "brother, I'm a returning lost sheep, I'm dF & will be attending this congregation from now on" ... attend all mtgs, studying- highlight your watchtower & publications in all colors & raise it where elders can see, sit near the elders... then you can request reinstatement, quoting all scriptures you can find abt repentance & how God is the one to judge us because he sees the heart which men cant.... that is what i did & it worked for me, the old congregation didn't want to reinstate me it was 3 years, my elders push them to....

Remember its not only playing the game, but also playing the man....

My life After Bethel Part 1

the day i left it was pouring rain........i really screwed up, i found out the night before, as i was packing things up, that i had way under estimated how much stuff i had.

i had two large suit cases (that i could barely shut the lids on) and a large army duffel bag.

i would guess about 200 pounds of shit......my van was in rhode island with the engine out of it.

Hi, your story is soo inspiring and I am soo happy your family got out with you. You are very very smart & still young enough to get an education & live a successful happy life. So true what you said the regime of the JW life burns out people & before you realize it you waste many years in a perfunctory life that leads to depression & no satisfaction, living in a bubble constantly...

Your reasoning & the conclusions you came to at this age are truly remarkable & very encouraging... welcome to your freedom! I hope my son grows up as insightful & intelectual as you at that age!

Yes i agree with you that is how I see it too, not wanting to give them the satisfaction they won & got to us.... the best revenge is to show them it didn't bother you & enjoy your freedom living a successful happy life is the best revenge you can give anyone who treats you this way....

Hi Esmeralda,

I have been flowing your posts since the begining and your story is similar as to what I went thru in this organization, they are not about "love" they are about social circles and God forbid you are single, educated, funny, nice, smart, with good personality and above average looking. You are essentially a target from anyone. I was a target from a 'sister' in the congregation who is twice my age older, could be my mother, she was relentless, accused me of "elbowing" her during a meeting, it was ridiculous and disgusting. Did elders helped me NO, did they knew she was lying YES, did they tell me NO, did they do something about it NO!!! I believe it was because she is married to an MS, they have money and make big contributions to the KH with checks so the COBE knows how much money they are contributing.... the whole thing was disgusting, she followed me, tried to bullied me, tried to intimidate me, would spread rumors about me for over 5 years... because I would ignore her and walked pass her not acknowledging her or even look or make eye contact, practically i acted like she didn't exist and focus my energies on real good people in the congregation. She hated hated me for it so what did she do when nothing else worked?? She confronts me during a meeting very aggressively and ready to fight like a chola from the hood, very bully and a gang member, demanding me if I had a problem with her... since i told her i had no idea what she was talking about and told her I don't even know her or anything about her as a matter of fact I told her I don't know what she was talking about. I told the elders that same day what she had done, never heard anything back to what happended with that.... no help no nothing

Move a year later, she accused me of hitting her during a meeting and waited 1 year to tell the elders!!!! I was like OMGGG she is crazy, she needs professional help, she is off her meds or something. I thought poor her she has security issues nothing to do with me, she could be my mother, since she is that old, and acting like a high school playground bully because other girls half her age are better looking than her.. but you know what? Thanks to that experience how the elders lack of handling this matter that has been happening for over 5 years which they were aware and didn't put it stop to it when they were supposed, it made it look like I was at fault for her to accuse me of this...... I realize no way they are being led my holy spirit and thanks to that it opened my eyes into learning TTATT and came accros this forum.

Esmeralda, you don't need them, believe me, I am also like you, I am the only JW in my family, I got baptized when I was 18, I am in my 30s and still the only one, my parents and sisters are not JWs. All these years I regret the many times I separated myself from my non JW family and didn't enjoy celebrating with them many many things, my nephews, nieces graduations, baby showers, birthdays, etc.... . Think of it, based on WT teachings they will die at Armageddon because they are not JWs.... Use this opportunity to tell them that you determine this religion is not for you or not the true religion that Jesus christ established, he came to abolish the burden of religion, and appreciate it if you are left alone, tell your study conductor you appreciate your friendship with her and hope to continue that friendship and maybe go out for a cup of coffee or something once in a while. And if you don't hear from her again, then it's plain and simple they weren't your friends to begin with. "by their fruits you will know them". You are fortunate you didn't get baptized, enjoy your life and continue with your education, you will have a very successful life and find a partner who has the same goals as you.

so at last i am in my next step of my fade, this month is the first month i did not turned in any hours.

i received a text from our group leader an ms & i told him i didn't have any to report, then of course it got bumped up to the elder & i text him back i have no hours to report for december.

i came to this decision when reading many posters here about the yearbook stats, i do not want & refused to contribute to this organization "boosting" numbers for their glorious purposes, after the rc in australia they do not deserve for me to give them a "production" report of what i do for god, no more.

The funny part was when I responded to the elder, in the same text that I hope his family is well & in good health .... and nothing, no response back, no thank you, no courtesy of thank you or ok..... now I am seeing the real people for what they are.... definitely true "by their fruits you shall know them"

lostwun: I do have to prepare how i am going to handle it, i am really not sure if they know where I live, but will be prepared.

Nicolaou: Fortunately no I do not, not a single one, my child's JW grandparents babysit & my son's father is a JW & since they are well known word might get around to them & want to pressure me or worse yet go fanatic on my son & try to heavily influence & indoctrinate him more or worse fight me for full custody, i just don't want to deal with fighting thru the courts... we live in the same vicinity, i plan to say I'm moving congregations & completely fade.... that's the next step

GOD knows my efforts....

Given I stopped going to D2D, since this May. The irony of things, I haven't been at meeting in several weeks do I get a call or text for their concern if I am still alive? Hell no!!! I only get a text to report time to make their reports look good!!! I know i will be ambushed next mtg, I will tell them thank you for your concern but i don't want to discuss private matters with anyone, its between me & God!!!
