we were visiting my sister in eastern tennessee and the night before after everyone else went to bed pops was watching tv when all of a sudden and completely on it's own the tv changed to the tonight show, holy smokes!!
must be demons cause pops didn't change it!
I've heard so many "demon attack" stories
To this day I still frustrate my family when I refuse to agree with them about demons
My question to them is: "what are you doing that invites so many demons into your home?"
They don't like that question
At the end of the day, every person I've ever known that has shared a demon story with me had been a heavy drug user (legal and illegal) or alcoholic
Demons don't seem to like rational sober people
one of the biggest gulfs that life has had to cross was the transition from sea to dry land.. fish have conical shaped heads, reptiles have flat heads.
fish have no necks; their heads are attached to their shoulders by a series of bony plates.
land-dwelling animals all have necks; their heads can move independently of their shoulders.
The ignorance and arrogance of evolution naysayers astounds me
Evolution is do blatantly obvious and factual yet they always seem to resort to the foolish argument where animals somehow "decided" to change based on conscious thought
Reproduction is everything. Reproduction repeated 100's millions of times. Survival of the fittest so obviously drives evolution (predator & prey) in ways we can see even today over short periods of time

so thinking back about the times when someone has asked my wife what religion she is.
she sheepishly and seems almost embarrassed to say she is a jehovah witness.
when someone asks me, i just say i am a christian.

She wants to fiT in. when she's at the kh she acts the way everyone expects and when she's around non-dubs she acts normal
She may be battling a need to be accepted
I remember this feeling starting my path of eye opening
I couldn't understand why I wasn't so happy and bubbley like "all the other Bros & sis's"
If I'm doing everything right why aren't I happy?
I knew deep down I was faking it in the truth and I decided to PROVE it to myself I really did LOVE the truth
Within about 3 hours of proving to myself I loved the truth I knee TTATT and I was mentally free
It all made sense

Since jehovahs name will already have been sanctified the answer I've always understood is the disobedient one would be executed immediately

as a pre-awakened ms, i heard of 2 stories that i found very shocking at the time.
please keep in mind, i was following wt blindly at the time and was part of what i thought was the true religion.
the first shocking story was when i attended a large meeting for elders and ministerial servants covering our circuit.
I heard stories about murder and wife swapping.
2nd hand from a credible source
Also about a PO that basically practiced witchcraft but called it something else
The older I get nothing surprises me
I've seen all kinds of crap 1st hand. All kinds of affairs, drug use by elders & MS (and I mean serious drugs not pills or weed), extreme alcoholism, strip joints prostitutes you name it
It's a spiritual paradise
so, i know there are some from my congregation or from bethel who monitor my posts..... maybe you're looking for something to catch me out?.
just a question: rather than trying to find fault with me, have you stopped and looked into the issues or facts about the organisation that caused me to come to a place like this forum??.
facts are there for anyone to find nowadays....one just has to be willing to pull their head out of the sand.....

I then had ammo on him
I never brought it up again and neither did he

what began as a day of joy finding out that one of my lifelong friends had her baby, turned into a nightmare when her brother called me to let me know she had passed away after birth.
i was in shock and didn't ask how.
If you ask a witness if they would jump in front of a bus to save their child if it meant their own life they'll answer YES !
If you ask them if they'd give them a blood transfusion OH NO!
the difference? They'll die for their kids if it means a resurrection but not if they would lose out on it.
Translation: I love my kids but not enough to die forever!
a few years after i quit the meetings my mum needed her medical directive signed and witnessed and she asked if i'd do it.
i was surprised to say the least!.
i think she was just angling to include me and maybe find some lever to get me involved again.
