Our accounts reports are read every month and donations are still flowing in
many also do direct debit now
most churches are back to in-person worship.
not jehovah's witnesses.
is watchtower still managing to fleece the flocks as the sheeple no longer get literature, no longer go to the kh, no longer walk past the donation box?
Our accounts reports are read every month and donations are still flowing in
many also do direct debit now
since this pandemic, especially, are witnesses fine with never having to go to another meeting or assembly again?
?.
Nobody is afraid of elders or governing body, quit making shit up you sound like an idiot
most jws are REALLY enjoying zoom, I know I am. Anyone with young kids freaking loves zoom
Those without kids want to go back to “normal”
honestly I think most actually want to get back to the KH but many enjoy talking as if the “end” will occur before that time
samuel herd made the following statement at the 2015 annual meeting regarding the reduction of services at bethel.. we will be reducing personnel at bethel.
some bethel family members will be invited to serve in the field.
in addition to their regular work, bethel family members will be caring for many of the services that were previously provided by fellow bethelites.. .
Hey I’m looking for the video that was posted of Samuel herd announcing all the cuts then ended with that hilarious mic drop as he exited the stage
Anyone have a link to that?
also looking for a much older video I believe about 1975 where the speaker, I believe a DO said “let me put my notes aside” and then began to pontificate about his thoughts on the end
anyone remember that talk or have a link?
but one i remember was a full on dyed in the wool believer how was a farmer.
around 1975 he sold his farm moved his family to a very rural place and waited for the end to come.
he ended up working for his brother in law hanging drywall.
Spot on simon
spot on 👍

please share any other yes/no questions that might fit with the following 10. also feel free to critique the 10 listed.. testing for transparency.
there are some facts that jehovah's witnesses are reticent to divulge to new prospects.
you may want to find out very early in your discussions if the witnesses you are studying with are open and truthful about their organization's doctrine and practices by asking them a series of sensitive (potentially embarrassing) questions about their personal beliefs.
Is the governing body ever “wrong”?
for what it's worth:.
we just held our 3rd annual new year's day party.. we kept the list down to thirty invites this year with the provision that they could bring guests.
so the final count was well up there.
Very enjoyable to read this
thank you for sharing
i know that the jdubs think that they are the center of the universe and in actuality, no one except ex-jdubs gives a rats ass about these religious crazies.
my question is i read that as a percentage of pedophiles per members, that the percentage is larger in the watchtower company than in the catholic church.
i would think that would catch someones attention in the media and make a good story.. what really pisses me off is the watchtower cult is gloating about all of the negative press the catholics are receiving concerning pedophiles not even knowing that the jdubs have thousands of sexual abuse cases that have been covered over.
You answered your own question....
nobody cares
since i have been out for seventeen years what is the currant society policy concerning beards and mustaches.. in the sixties and seventies facial hair was forbidden at bethel if you white.
if you were black you could have mustache but no beards.
so obviously you could not be elder or pioneer if you had a beard.. any updates?
I know of a brother in Virginia that gave public Sunday talks with a beard this year (2018)
i have this first hand from 2 different people
His elders would call the congregation he was visiting to speak to give them a heads up in case they had an issue with it
i'm sure most here who've questioned or left behind their belief in god have encountered this question - without god, what basis can there be for morality?
my exwife, when i admitted that i was an atheist, once asked me "if you don't believe in god, what's to stop you from going out and raping and murdering?
" previously, whenever i got this objection, i would tend to turn it around on the other person with a response along the lines of "if fear of god is the only thing that stops you from murdering, that makes me rather nervous to be around you.
Is murder evil because it’s evil?
Or because God’s says it’s evil?
if the former, then good and evil exist without god
if the latter, then god created evil
