hey all, i received this in email today at work.
i always find these remember things funny, 70's or 80's.... but as i was reading this list, it got me thinking about some of the things i don't truly remember (okay, i remember but they were no-no's) because of my jw enforced childhood.
so here's the list with some of my comments:.

i've been reading a lot of stories posted here and have to say i'm glad to know there are so many ex-jw's!.
so, jehovah's witnesses sounded pretty good to me-- it never occured to me that a religion could be wrong.
was i not good enough for god?

for those wha have left jehovahs witnesses is there religion after you leave the watch tower?

depends on who it is. my friends that believe in god, i trust them because i know them to be good and sincere people. fundies, preachy types, i try to steer clear of.

depends on what you believe to be the truth.
9. Are ethics and morals absolute or relitive and arbratrary?
ethics and morals are fluid me thinks in the long term, just look back in history to see this in motion....

* You solved the Rubics cube... by peeling off the stickers
* You watched the "Pound Puppies"
* You can sing the rap to "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air"
* You wore biker shorts under your skirts and felt stylish
* You yearned to be a member of the Baby-Sitters Club and tried to
start a club of your own
* You owned those little Strawberry Shortcake pals scented dolls
* You know what 'Whoa' means from Blossom
* Three words: M.C. Hammer
* You thought it would be great to have a friend named "Boner" (what show was that from???)
* You can sing the entire theme song to "Duck Tales"
* You played the Chipmunks Christmas album all year long (umm nope!)
* The crypt keeper really freaked you out (yes he did, but i had to sneak to watch to show)
* Remember reading Kool-Aid Man comics
* You ever watched Fraggle Rock
* You had plastic streamers on the handle bars of your bike
* When it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch
cartoons (too bad i had to get up early to go to bs and fs. but staying home sick AND getting up early...hehe)

* You saw the original "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" on the big screen
* You got super-excited when it was Oregon Trail day in computer class at school
* You made your mom buy you one of those clips that would hold your
shirt in a knot on the side

* You wore a Jordache jean jacket and you were proud of it

* You still get the urge to use "NOT" at the end of ever statement

* You remember hypercolor T-shirts
* Barbie and the Rockers was your favorite band
* You remember Punkie Brewster
* You loved Howard the Duck
* You thought Shee-ra and He-Man should hook up
* You thought your childhood friends would never leave because you
exchanged 'friendship bracelets'
* You ever owned a pair of jelly shoes
* After you saw Pee-Wee's Big Adventure you couldn't stop saying
"I know you are, but what am I?
* You remember "I've fallen... and I can't get up!"
* You remember going to the skating rink before there were

* You wore like 8 pairs of socks at once, scrunched down
* Miss Mary Mack Mack Mack all dressed in Black Black Black...
* You remember boom boxes instead of CD players
* You remember watching both "Gremlin" movies (if you were lucky and had not very strict jw 'rents)
* You remember the gimp fad
* You remember the Transformers
* You knew what it meant to say: "Care bear stare!!" and had
your favorite
* You remember Rainbow Bright and My Little Pony Tails
* You remember watching TV thinking Doogie Howser was hot
* You remember Alf, the little fuzzy brown alien from Malmac
* You remember the large amounts of hairspray used
* You remember those very stylish headbands
* You remember Vicky The Robot
* You remember Eve Garland from 'Out of this World' and how she could
stop time by pressing the tips of her index fingers together and
talking to her dad through a glowing cube in her bedroom (mom never found out about this show!)
* You remember the beginning of 'New Kids On The Block'
* You remember watching The Cosby Show (was on thursday nights, meeting night :(:( )
* You remember Mr. Belvedere
* You remember Michael J. Fox in Family Ties and Back To The Future

for those of you that don't know, i was raised a witness from the time i was five.
i remember celebrating one christmas.
my mother was studying then and didn't want to support my dad, but she gave in one last time.

The next day, the FBI agents descend on Billy Bob's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but find no marijuana. They swore at Billy Bob and left.
The phone rings at Billy Bob's house.
"Hey, Billy Bob! Did the FBI come?"
"Yeah!"
"Did they chop your firewood?"
