you may be a jw ........if you spent last saturday traped in a car with at least 4 other people you may be a jw.. if you have sat through a sheparding call where you were told you are unworthy you may be a jw.. if you have alienated your worldly relatives with your preaching you may be a jw.. if you have ticked some one of buy knocking on their door on one of their religous holidays you may be a jw.. if you think the governing body is goods direct channel you may be a jw.. if you have no clue when this system is going to end you may be a jw.. .

I was raised in till, Dad was df'd for smoking.. then we all got to go through Jr high and High school worldly.. Drinking age was 19 in Idaho back then.. so I was Drinking and doing drugs(pot) at 15.. my older sister got into coke and moved to Hawaii.. her life fell apart .. and JW's Knocked on her door.. she moved back home right after I graduated HS.. I was missing the group actives HS provided. she showed me the 7 times and 1914 and got me to study... was baptised in 6months, was a very zealous JW..

Then it was a horror story being in the Congragation.. I moved to Palm Springs.. it was the same... got Df'd and figured I could make it through Armegedon on my own .. 23 years later I looked at JWN .. I thank my good senses i didn't stick it out .. whew!!! what a relief

What is a fresh annointing

i was driving home the other night and felt god say to me that i needed a fresh anointing.. .

i came home and told my landlady what happened to me.

the first thing she said was "how do you get a fresh anointing?

Failed Marriages..."Born ins"

it is impossible to unweave the complex cobweb of a failed marriage and totally understand it, let alone to generalize the occurance for many other couples.

but, let's assume the case of a marriage of two typical jw born-ins.

as far as jw's go, they grew up without major disfunction, still talk to their parents, etc.. in cases like this, how many of these couples are still together?

good question.. someone once asked me 'Don't JWs have arranged marriages?".... I was like no 'they don't do that"

Then I thought about it .. In my old Cong the PO had a big family and the PO from the Cong we shared the Hall with did to.. all their kids married each other .. because they wanted equally Spiritly minded mates ... I wonder how it all worked out ..

Invited to a Party

i've been invited to a party by my co-worker and i'm going!

this is the first 'wordly' event i'll be attending since getting disfellowshipped.

i'm a little scared and apprehesive but i'm also ready to get my life back.

Do JW's only help JW's in a disaster zone?

i've heard lots of stories over the years of the wonderful job the jw's do in assisting those in need in disaster zones whether they be earthquakes or floods.

it would always be reported that the witnesses were the most organised in setting up camps etc and would out do the red cross and other such organisitions.

but also that they would quickly set up mini congregations to keep the disaster struck brothers spiritually fed.. has anyone here been involved in disaster relief work with the witnesses to clarify:.

good question... I heard they shut their doors in NY during 9/11...

They'll make sure everyone has a Watchtower.. but thats about it.. as far as I've seen
