  The National Anthem

  recent controversies in america brought this to mind , although i don’t want this to become a political thread , rather to discuss the wts rules that stop a jw showing respect for the national anthem.. the watchtower says that doing so is an act of idolatry, giving worship to the state or its icon.

  as such witnesses remain seated when the anthem is played.

  in britain people simply stand quietly to show respect, there is no hand gesture.. when i was a boy, every cinema show and theatre concluded with the anthem,being played .usually it was orchestrally with no words sung.

  In America we had to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance to show respect but not put our hand on our heart or recite the pledge

  We had to sit for the national anthem

  Why didn't we stand for the anthem and just not put her hand on our heart.

  What Called when a prison is a private company that's funded by the government

  It receives all of its capital from taxpayers and all of its customers from the government which are the same

  So is capitalism supporting the Socialism or is this socialism creating the capitalism
