Complexity, Evolutionists Biggest Problem

recently, some scientists modeled one of the simplest known cells - that of a bacteria.

it took an army of 128 computers running for 10 hours to process the data required in the 25 categories of molecules that are involved in this "simple cells'" life processes.

think about that for a moment - 128 computers running for 10 hours just to compute the data, not actually do it mind you; but just to model the known processes in one of the simplest known cells, which is many orders of magnitude simpler than a human cell.

It takes comparable amounts of computer time to process weather models to see what next week's weather likely will be. And even then the expectations aren't always correct!

Given that next week's weather is so complex and people can't even properly calculate it using a lot of computer time, I'm sure someone has specifically designed next week's weather.

Surely next week's weather can't be the result of natural processes....

6000 yrs for mankind

It seems to me that if modern man emerged 300,000 years ago, we would have some written evidence of that fact dating well beyond 6000 years.

What reasons do you have to think that?

And is written evidence the only evidence that counts?

Why do you think human beings did not start recording history before the 6000 year mark? Anyone have a theory about that?

I always wonder why nobody bothered to record any photographs and moving pictures before ~1800.

Does the Earth (as a planet) deserve to be colonised by humans?

do humans have the right to live on this planet?

we have, in much less than a century, managed to fill the earth with so much plastic waste that tiny fragments of plastic have been found on the highest mountains and the deepest ocean depths.

not satisfied with doing that, we stupidly continue to do it.

Do locusts have the right to swarm and eat and destroy any vegetation on their path?

Do plants and animals deserve to suffer and die from bacteria, viruses and parasites?

Do parasites have the right to do what they do at the expense of their victims?

I think such questions are moot.

That one species can somewhat contemplate their own behavior and its effects doesn't change much.

After all even humans are simply another animal species, both limited and driven by our own biology.

Is there any information where this form comes from? Did it come from the regular jw.org elders only section?

Is there any information in which countries this form is used?

If it is used in my country (in Europe) it is a gross violation of privacy laws and I will file a formal complaint with the authorities.

it’s in dutch but i can attest to the person’s situation back in the day.

his father and mine were relatively close and both abusive tyrants.

he wrote this autobiography in the style of a romance novel (changing the characters) but i know the story is personal.

a friend is trying to figure out the approximate date or letter, which indicated a change from the wording of public announcements.. they changed from saying the person has been disfellowshipped to saying that a person was no longer one of jehovah's witnesses.. i thought it was around the time of the bulgaria scandal.. could you help us out to remember when this change took place?

if we could remember the approximate year, we could look up all the boe's for that year and might find the letter.. many thanks!.

And the OD book released then does indeed contain the new phrase.

OD book 1989 version still has the old "person is disfellowshipped" wording (p148, p151).
So they must have changed it after that.

Did a quick search on wol and Google.

It appears in 1986 they still mentioned whether a person was DA or DF in the announcement, and the 1991 Shepherd book already prescribes the "no longer a JW" announcement (didn't check).

mRNA technology used in the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines that introduce a genetic code into your DNA

No, mRNA vaccines do not change DNA at all.

Messenger RNA is normally produced by the body, based on DNA. It is a 'messenger' (hence the name) that brings the instructions contained in DNA to ribosomes. The ribosome will then manufacture the proteins encoded in the mRNA.

An mRNA vaccine exploits this process. The RNA in the vaccine tells immunity cells to manufacture certain proteins that look exactly like the virus proteins.

The immune system will see these virus-look-alike-proteins as 'foreign' and attack them. In the process the immune system has learned how these proteins look and how to fight them.

Then if ever the real virus is introduced into the body, the immune system doesn't waste any time because it already recognizes the virus and knows how to fight it.
