OrphanCrow, you completely answer my questions (I have no idea of JWs are some of the ”guinea pigs” on some medical trials, I thought that was a big gap between the availability of the treatment and the JWs acceptance)
👏👏👏 for your posts
sorry if my topic question was difficult to understand (english is not my native language).
i will like to know the year when the so called “blood fractions” was available as an alternative to a whole blood transfusion.
my question is triggered by the curiosity about how long jw died or put their life at risk, refusing that type of treatment before the year 2000 (when the “new light” allowed that type of treatment).. thank you.

“Are you asking if there was a time lag between the blood products being available to the JW patient and being available to the general population”
yes, that is my main question.
Imagine the immunoglobulin injections now they are “allowed” by the cult, but I think that for some amount of time (I don’t know specifically how much years ) they are presented by the medical community as an optional treatment and the JWs rejected that option because the blood prohibition.

Thank you both.
Another question:
when the medicine presents the “blood fractions” treatments as a possibility for any patient?
(I know there will be a difference between the date of the “invention” of the technology involved to produce the sub-products and the date when they became widely available for the majority of the patients)

episode 6 of this jw life is now live.
it is a brutally honest, at times dark, look into what it was like behind the scenes in our lives.
people don't talk openly about ugly parts of their lives and it leads to other people feeling alone when theirs gets ugly.
I’m also a regular listener, and even if your story ends, you can continue the podcast on the same molds if you tell the story of other ex-JW. Some had a very rich experience and a very interesting story of life
keep the good work
after many, many days of learning how to write macros in excel and cleaning up a lot of data, i finally have the desired result: a timeline of where jehovah's witnesses have been active since 1926.there are some notes:1) "korea" was assumed to be both north and south korea up until 1950.
(i chose 1950 because that is the same year russia and other communist countries went "banned").2) morocco and western sahara are considered as one.3) in the years previous to 1947, i had to read the yearbook reports and make an educated guess as to whether i should include in the report or not.
my requirements were: not banned, report was for an entire year if there was more than one witness in the land, reports were official and not second hand.
Good work
the moment i saw the "request a study" form on the site, i thought, "umm, that could be a bad thing.".
but to date, i have heard of only one case where it was used for less than genuine purposes.
that was in the case of a "game developer" who was selling crappy asset-flips on steam.
I've already used that feature in the past to troll on my fathers congregation. The funny part is that my dad was the assigned minister to response to my fake request.
I must confess that I need to control myself a lot to not laugh when my father share with me the unpleasant experience to made a few kilometers to find a specific house and after a conversation with the house owner he realized that was a prank and he have to apologize to the owner.
The address that I used was a small office so it's easy to find online the address and the full name of the owner.
After that I repeated the prank two times, but I don't have any feedback because maybe the task was assigned to other publisher on that congregation.
first of all, sorry if i cannot correctly express the original expression used in my native language to ask for the "spiritual condition".. a few years ago some member of the family asks my wife directly how is her "spiritual health" (for me it's one of the many strange vocabulary used by jw like "the slave says...").
she was catched by surprise with the direct question and says that everything is ok... and luckily someone call them for lunch.. my question is: do you have any good answers for that question?
you can be ironic/use some humor because the question is a little bit anecdotical .
@onager ahaha
when you start humming you can use the following daft punk song which fits perfectly
