I read your thread carefully, and it has left me speechless and even more paranoids than I already was.
that's way too much pressure for me to handle righy now. I don't have any other choice, but to stop attending meetings for a while. the mental toture i've put myself through this past few weeks is completely unnecessary. IT IS NOT WORTH IT! This situation is getting out of control. I cannot afford to loose my rationnality over this matter. I still need to study for my finals... For now that's what matters the most to me: taking care of my finals. I'll handle this situation when i'm in vacation.
what a mess, guys! Anyways thanks y'all!

I'm afraid that i'm already mentally trapped. I can definitely tell that something is wrong with this organization. I've seen so many red flags. But the truth is that I see those same red flags in adventice and baptist churches (it's even worse). It is my experience that when I'm in , i'm being bullied by influent members and when i'm out , i'm being tourmented by my conscience. Either way i'm unhappy, so I might as well stay in the org, be the nicest person that I can be, and wait for Yah to destroy Babylon the Great. If I'm in the wong place, God will forgive me because he knows what's in my heart. In the meantime, i'll try my best to avoid getting hurt. I'm preparing myself for further bullshit. It won't hurt as much because I know what to expect.

I was even asked if I could cook and how Iwould I react if my husband offended me (this one got me lauging really hard). I'm not exagerating when I tell you that people in my congregation have some trust issues. For example, if i'm in a car with other sisters and texting somone, the person next to me will look over my shoulder and read the conversation. One time an elder's wife asked if she could read the content of my notebook. It was nothing too special. Just biblical related stuff, but she insisted anyway. Anyway, from now on I going to limit my assiciation with the friends. If they want to gossip, they will have to make up stories.

I think that I received the same counceal, but indirectly. And it came from a sister. She gave me an invitation and suggested that I should stop hanging out with my wordly friends and hAng out more with the friends. The truth of the matter is that, apart from my study conductoir, I don't feel too confortable with any of these people. I mean I don't have trouble socializing with them for one minute or two before And After each meeting. But it is beyond my capacity to hang out with them at social event. The idea of seeing them outside thd hall puts a great deal of pressur on my shoulders.
what are the consequences of being labled "difficult"?
i'm so grateful for this website, guys. It provides me with so much information on so many different topics. I can learn about the organization functionnement without being too involved! Thank you for that!!!!

I don't think JWs are nosy out of spite. They probably meant no harm. I think they're just paranoid and obsessed with purity. In any case I won't give them the permission to put me under the spotlight like they did. Never again! Pfff!

sory ladies. I didn't see your answer the first time I went through the responses. Thank you for your advice!! @Longhair: do you know the reason why single women are more under the microscop than the rest? do there existe a way to keep the members out of your buisiness at all or will they find a way to find out things about you no matter what? Though I don't have anythig to hide, I like to keep my life private. That's just my personnality. I'm a quiete person , and do not trust people so easily.
