I've got to the point that I dont even care now. I know she's my mother but I feel nothing anymore. Just another JW. I have to think that way otherwise it'd drive me crazy.

She was on one of the witnessing carts in town at a station I don’t usually get off at. I did today as I was dropping my daughter off somewhere. I don’t know if she saw me but, damn, she looks old and tired.
We walked past, I gave her a head-nod and smile. She ignored it (or didnt see it). My daughter didn’t even know who she was so didn’t look up.
I told my older brother (who never got baptized and stopped going to meetings years ago), and he told me she’s been diagnosed with some sort of lung disease. Her doctor has told her to slow down, rest and basically take it easy. The problem with that is, she’s a fulltime pioneer. My brother told me that since the last convention she “realized” that the doctor’s advice was obviously a test from Satan to get her to stop pioneering – so she’s now actually doing more than she was before.
She’s pioneering herself into an early grave.

once i got out of bethel, i figured i had already given them six of the best years of my life (ages 18-24) working as a slave/drone in their factory, so i rationalized that i had given them enough... so over the next 27 years i would say maybe $200 bucks is it.
i think their whole "voluntary contributions" idea is biting them in the ass, because over all jehovah's witnesses are a cheap group people with a few exceptions.

As a child from age 4-9 I used to put my pocket money in the donation box. But this was the late 80s and early 90s so it would only have been about 50p.
After than I donated sparingly. Not very much at all. Like pocket change.
when I moved out of my parents home I never donated a thing. At the time I felt a little guilty about it but looking back I'm so glad I never put any of my hard earned cash in there.

Not that being a tranny is the same as a pedophile that I know of, in that they don't harm anyone or attack or pray on others that I know of. But neither do cutters or many other mental illnesses. But that is not to say they are OK. It could be that being a tranny is just a mental illness like a hoarder, does not really harm anyone, but its still a mental illness non the less.
Oosh! Dressing in womens clothes is relatively harmless I'd say. But let's not lump such persons into the same catagory as a pedophile. Oh, and "tranny"? WTF?

Moroni provided gold plates in upstate New York which was the basics for book of MormonMormons do indeed preach Gods Kingdom. But it's their interpretation of what that is. I could quite easily say that Jehovah's Witnesses preach 1914, overlapping generations and tight pants - which Jesus didnt do.

this isn't even a controversial position in the scientific community.. the evidence rests on the data from many interconnected fields including paleontology, comparative anatomy, geology and especially genetics.
it is no exaggeration to say that the evidence for your own non-human ancestry is contained in every cell in your body.. it is my experience that jws are generally quite ignorant (not in a pejorative sense) of the scientific case.

The average age of a congregation's body of elders is going up, up, up, there are more and more "honorary" elders who just retain the title but who really can't do anything practical like give talks or make shepherding calls due to failing health. And there are fewer & fewer MS's to replace them, and fewer and fewer guys who even want to be a MS.
I smell some "new light" coming in the next decade or so. They'll go back to having a congregation "serivice directors" like in the days of Joseph Rutherford.
Lets not forget, Joe Rutherford (gods mouthpeice on earth) taught that the elder arrangemnt was unscriptural and that elders were "haughty" and "lazy". (Penton, Apocalypse Delayed)
I guess a broken clock is right at least twice a day!
