Not stoned, but it did give a number 4 talk drunk. Dont think anybody noticed because nobody really listens anyway.

There is always one!
by Isambard Crater ini am pimo but attended the r.c yesterday for family pressure reasons.
a "sister" i've not seen for a while told me her husband is overjoyed because a man he called on recently in the field service suddenly told him he wanted to attend the r.c.
the unusual thing is, this man is a millionaire having built a property portfolio.

Maybe he's ill and wants to be "insured" in case it is the truth. Although, i could think of a lot more appealing afterlives than the JW version.
Give me Valhalla any day of the week.

This convention talk offended me
by Isambard Crater inhere are my notes from the r.c yesterday, the talk called "jehovah – the greatest example of endurance".
many of you will understand why i found it offensive.. jehovah has taken the hard option of choosing to endure:.
reproach to his holy name.

Funny... since Jehovah is waiting longer and longer more and more people are being born into poverty in Africa, child abuse, rape, disease etc. So more people are going to die than he's going to save.
Ass.

Anyone taken the Metropolitan Museum of Art JW tour, "The Woman and Her Offspring"?
by Cadellin inthese are apparently private tours by jws (pios who do it for a "contribution," i believe), who highlight the "historical evidence" for various bible events or prophecies.
there are a variety of themes, but i had a relative just take one on the woman and the seed/offspring (is "offspring" the new word for jws?).
she thought it was the most amazing thing since sliced bread but i was curious if anyone here has taken one and what their take is....

I've taken one in the British Museum. Some Bethelites had a side thing going where they'd do a bible tour for a "contribution". At the time i was a JW and found it informative and interesting. But looking back i now realize he was just showing us ancient Egyptian/Babylonian things that are mentioned in the bible, it doesn't prove the existence of Moses or the red sea incident.

You're right. Security is stepped up (which is good actually). Although it's real security, not yellow jacket boy that is "reaching out". They've got plastic boxes with what looks like those electronic body search things you see in the airport.
I have to chuckle to myself though:
One of the "cool" cliques is right in front of me. He's in a suit, sunglassses and converse trainers. The girls have short skirts. I give them 2 years before they leave the cult.
Usual douche bag in a white suit.
Quite a few beards here.
One girl has blue hair (she's brave!) looked good though.
Costa Coffee round the corner rammed with JWs in their badges, non JWs wondering whats going on. Im hearing Manchester accents, which is strange because the Manchester one is being held here in a few weeks.

I have been informed by two trusted JW sources that 2 sisters at different conventions - one in England and one in Scotland - were refused entry to the arenas because they didn't have lapel badges!
Be prepared P.E.
Anyone else experienced this?
I'm prepared...
"Excuse me but isn't this convention open to the public?"
"Wern't you all giving out invitations all over town?"
"Do you own this arena?"
"Are you attempting to stop me seeing my daughter?"
"I'm told this is a wonderful meeting with spiritual food. I've come to enjoy it too."
If all fails I'll just go in through the far left entrance which is for conferences, meetings etc and walk right into the area from there.

Who can guess the number closest to memorial partakers ?
by Chook inmy punt 16144 , do you like my last three numbers !.

When I was a jobo, the numbers of 'partakers(tm)' reducing, was seen as a positive sign the end was near. Now, do the new figures mean the end did come and we missed it? Probably an invisible end...oooh, matron.
Do they still publish 'partakers(tm)' these days, sorry, I'm really out of the jobo loop these days.
what about 17 (for the year) and 144 (like Chook) = 17,144
Im told in a recent talk given in the convention, that we're to not take any real notice about the number of memorial partakers because the majority of those taking part are mistaken or mentally ill. Nice. Of course the governing body arnt mentally ill or deluded, no, they really are anointed.

Considering the trend in 2000, my guess is 19,460.
If we break the 20 thousand mark it'll be hilarious. Since the beginning of Christianity there's only been 144,000 anointed Christians? That works out at approximately 75 people per year since Jesus death. I'll bet my life that in the first century there were more than 75 people partaking of the emblems. So Paul was writing only to 75 people???
2000 8,661
2001 8,730
2002 8,760
2003 8,565
2004 8,570
2005 8,524
2006 8,758
2007 9,105
2008 9,986
2009 10,857
2010 11,202
2011 11,824
2012 12,604
2013 13,204
2014 14,121
2015 15,177
2016 18,013

This Facebook stalking thing is very common here in the UK with exJWs. Our families and former friends shun us and want nothing to do with us but they just have to know everything of what we're doing, then they blow it out of proportion, make up a story and gossip around.
Check your FB privacy settings and make it as tight as possible. Look on the moms profile and see which friends are "in common" and there's your spy. Block him/her.
