  Thanks guys. Im gonna see who's in charge of sorting his carers and help him get actual registered carers. That's if he even needs/wants any.

  Goodbye my friends.

  for almost 12 years now, i have been coming to this site on a regular basis and in the last 5, i “faded out”.

  i never regretted this and never will.

  unfortunately though, yesterday, i realized that, until i can publically tell all my old acquaintances why i have left, i will never be truly free.

  Hi guys. Just wanted to share this with you as it's kind of got me worried. My brother who was also raised in "the truth™" met me in town today for a coffee. This is the brother i mentioned a few weeks ago who tried to kill himself because he was being harassed by elders and family to return to Jehovah. He's been inactive since June and was trying to simply go off the radar like some have managed to do.

  Unfortunately it wasn't working. He has Asperger Syndrome, he's perfectly capable of going out and looking after himself etc but he has carers non the less that go out with him from time to time. All of his carers are JWs (because his mum chose his carers for him). Anyway, because of the harassment and pressure he was experiencing, and the constant bombardment of text messages, phonecalls, voicemails, email and visits to his apartment he took the drastic action of writing his disassociation letter. This happened two days ago but he only told me today.

  He told me he's been getting even more "concerned" elders knocking on his door and he says he's frightened to open the door. Because of his Asperger Syndrome he doesn't like confrontation and he's afraid he'll get angry and lash out at them. I told him what's likely is they want him to confirm verbally his intention to DA. I advised him to just not open the door and block their numbers, by next Thursday they should have announced him from the platform and that'll be the end of it.

  My concern is, will the family shun him? With him being on the spectrum is it really fair? He says he doesn't care because when the family talk to him it's always about returning to Jehovah and how disappointed they all are over him.

  He shown me a few text messages from the elders. To be fair, one of them sounded genuinely concerned saying. The texts were like this:
  

  "We miss you at the KH. Can we come and see you to see if we can help in any way? I dont think you understand what disassociating means."

  It's shocked me because it's so final. I can cope with being shunned, i have real friends. He doesn't have any yet. The elders have told him that they'll have to inform his JW carers that they can no longer work for him. Isnt that illegal?

  i thought it was bad enough that jw`s put in weekly reports of fs hours every month in the d2d work when in fact the average publisher would never mention this "good news of the kingdom" to the householder .. more often than not it would be something like some mundane thing about what they have observed about the householders property whether they have kids ,what a lovely garden they have before being cut off by the householder with i`m not interested knowing jw`s are trying to convert them/sell them the watchtower and closing the door.. yet the jw goes away happily putting in a report telling jehovah they have spent so much time in the fs witnessing about him and the kingdom of christ jesus...... cart witnessing is even a worse lie ,why ?

  because jw`s make no attempt to witness to anybody they expect people to come to them to be witnessed to which of course never happens .

  they spend hours upon hours a month telling jehovah by their fs reports they hand in how much they have witnessed for him ,when in fact they have done nothing of the sort .. they chit chat among themselves witnessing to nobody for hours on end and then lie in their fs report they have been witnessing for jehovah ?.

  I'd rather they stand there with their stupid carts than go round knocking on doors. At least on the carts ex-Witnesses can approach and plant seeds. They can't walk away unless they pack up their carts and go. So it's a win-win for us.

  The GB consoling the victims and apologizing would mean that they'd done something wrong or failed in some way. And of course we all know that the GB have done nothing wrong and any mistakes are merely "human imperfections".

  Seeing a nice young lady in tight yoga pants is, i think, damn fine. I wouldn't dream of trying to ban them. Somehow Tony wants to?

  Seeing a young man in tight suit pants does nothing for me. I tend not to notice because im not into boys. Somehow Tony notices all the time?

  As one who loves learning languages, here's a fun little fact:

  It takes 480 hours of study to learn a language such as French, German, Spanish or Italian to fluency.

  720 hours to learn a more difficult language like Mandarin or Japanese.

  The first sister could have learned a new language every year.

  The old sister would be on the freaking UN Translation committee!
