Watchtower Teachings That Don't Make Sense

a friend has a jw funeral coming up and wants some input if possible, so a copy of the latest outline would be invaluable to him when he talks to the elders, another question he and his brother, neither now jw's, wish to give a eulogy, is this allowed ?.

any advice will be greatly appreciated..

Tell your friend to expect the JW's to hijack the occasion to advertise their cult.

It'll be 20% about the deceased and 80% about JW.borg. (not even Jesus/Jehovah). They'll talk about the resurrection "hope" - note, it's not even a guarantee for faithful JWs to get into paradise. Then the talk to transition into "how do we get into the new system?" and then they'll begin their their cult talk about JW.borg.

Believe it or not, before Pale.Emperor was an apostate he was an avid Bible researcher. Hell, i used to debate other religious nuts for pure enjoyment. I could defend and uphold Watchtower doctrine like you'd never believe.

Then one Sunday im sitting there in the Kingdom Hall, I turn the page to see this in my Watchtower:

playing dirty as it can, trying to silence dissenters.. the john cedars channel on youtube has been taken down after the posting of a video critique of regional (district) convention leaked videos.. sounds like something putin would do in russia.

you know what they say, birds of a feather fly together--what a murder of crows all of'em!.

P.E. Did you put the whole video's up? Can't you cite Fair Use like the Cedars?

The video quality of mine wasn't as good as the one Cedars put up a few months after me. I'll just leave Cedars to do his thing. No point having two up of the same vid. Plus mine didn't have me critiquing it, it was just the videos.

Yeah, his name is John Davis. Before him it was a guy named Richard Oliver. They come on here mad as can be about legal technicalities that they want to use to protect their cult but you'll rarely see them outraged about things like the abuse of children despite their ability to quote age of consent laws from countries around the world. It is fascinating to watch people react so vociferously to slights against laws but not against humans, even children. We always have at least one of them on here. So there will always be some monitoring other sites as well, like YouTube.

This doesn't sound like a cult at all does it ladies and gentlemen?

Using Illegal Means for Righteous Activism

i wanted to get people's opinion on something.

how do you feel when people use illegal means while performing their activism to shed light on the watchtower.

there have been people who have illegally recorded conversations with elders and with branch offices or at meetings.

It depends on the situation.

Illegal acts like harming members or planting bombs or stalking them or their family im 100% against.

Acts such as leaking their documents, literature, videos and recording JCs im absolutely all for. Otherwise members and potential members are being duped into something without being fully aware of whats going on.

I've had two videos from my channel taken down so far. The last one being the elders judicial committee training video where Bobby cries like a girl and the elders tell him to dump his pregnant non-JW girlfriend. And the suicide counseling one where the elders tell the woman to just keep repeating "i am an integrity keeper" over and over again before she runs off to get them cookies.

It seems someone at Watchtower's sole job is to type "Jehovah's Witnesses" into YouTube and report them.

Its only a matter of time. Even when I was "in" I was surprised they weren't tithing us. Remember, this is a religion that takes a symbolic book (Revelation), a symbolic nation (Israel), and a symbolic state (virgins) yet ascribes a literal number (144,000).

Sure this new GB member could make his bones by bringing out some new light of his own.

I dont think we're to expect a Jonestown type suicide (although the blood doctrine is pretty close to suicide). And considering that we read the elders letters and convention outlines before they do we'd have ample time to act if it was going that way.

Lets see... what things "wouldn't appear sound from a human standpoint" to me?

Handing over all my cash?
Baptizing babies?
Re-baptism into updated understanding of "The Truth™"
Selling all my belongings and moving into a commune?
Forced divorces and re-marriage to assigned mates?

Right now, none of the above would surprise me at all. Hell, i could pull scriptures out my ass to make anything sound legit.

I think they'll up the shunning non-JW family members. They already told the members at the last convention to shun faders. When i asked a JW about this they claimed that they've always done that (which they havent). It's like their brains are wiped and reprogrammed and they forget they ever taught anything else.
